Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Objections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys. Cllrs Mason and Wyatt had carried out another Speedwatch session and had discovered it was the positioning that had led to poor images last time. This has been addressed and number plates are being recorded. Another session is planned, and Cllr Mason asked for more volunteers. I would like to thank everyone who helped make our 50th year such an outstanding success and, in particular, our 50th Anniversary Show on Saturday 6th July. We had a wide range of stalls, exhibitions and entertainments on offer as well as the dog show so there was something for everyone to enjoy.     THE MUSEUM During 1970 and 1971 considerable work has been done on the collections, although much still remains to be sorted out. The work of identifying and labelling geological specimens has been completed, and the insect collections sorted, fumi- gated, labelled, put in checklist order and card indexed. The egg collection has also been re-labelled and card indexed, and some specimens added to it. In the historical field a large collection of photographic plates, mainly taken by Taunt of Oxford about 1900, has been sorted and placed in individual envelopes. Racking has been installed in part of the first floor of the stable and most of the collection of pottery sherds transferred to it, where it is easily accessible. A start has been made on the production of a card index of the folk collection and to-date some 1,500 cards have been completed. At short notice reports on archaeological sites in the Chilterns and in the River Ouse Green Belt were prepared, and at greater leisure one on the Vale of Aylesbury for the County Planning Department. This involved visiting a very large number of sites, which did however yield additional information about some. A start has been made on an examination of air photographs of the county, and a number of new sites, particularly of ring ditches and medieval sites, have been found. Excavations were carried out by the museum staff on four sites referred to in The Records, three of them on behalf of the Milton Keynes Research Committee. Amongst the exhibitions was one of Museum Purchases 1960-1970, opened by Earl Howe, Chairman of the County Education Committee, which showed all the purchases made during that period.

    Aylesbury Vale District Housing Land Supply Position as at end March 2009 – prepared May 2009 Introduction This document sets out the housing land supply position in Aylesbury Vale District as at the end of March 2009. Lists of sites included in the housing land supply are given in Appendices 1, 2 and 3. Two sets of calculations are provided: firstly for the five years April 2009 to March 2014, and secondly for the five years April 2010 to March 2015. Housing requirement The housing requirement for Aylesbury Vale is set out in the South East Plan (May 2009) (SEP). The figures are as follows: 2006-2011 2011-2016 Aylesbury 3,800 4,400 Rest of District 1,100 1,100 Total 4,900 (980 per annum) 5,500 (1,100 per annum) Note – Regional policy (South East Plan policies H1, MKAV 1, 2 and 3) sets an annual average figure for the above. The phasing shown in the above table is taken from the South East Plan Panel report (para 23.41 onwards and 23.127 onwards) and will be revisited in line with the Growth Investment and Infrastructure policy approach as outlined in Policy CS14 of the Core Strategy. JOHN CHEYNE, grandson of Thomas, and son of John Cheyne, of Chesham Bois, by Perinda, daughter of Sir Robert Whitney, succeeded his father at Chesham Bois, in 1459, being then a minor, about thirteen years of age. By this marriage, the Manors of Shardeloes and Kaans, in the parish of Amersham, and of Grove, in the parish of Ches- ham, came into the Cheyne family. Grove, which is about four miles from Chesham, and now in the possession of W. Lowndes, Esq., still retains vestiges of a strongly-for- tified mansion, * which must have been of great antiquity, for it came to the Brudenells in the reign of Richard II. by the marriage of William Brudenell with Agnes, daugh- ter and heir of Thomas de la Grove,f whose name clearly indicates that the demolished mansion at Grove, was his place of residence.     Aylesbury Vale District Council ‐ Five year housing land supply position statement, August 2017 Purpose of this position statement 1.0 Paragraph 47‐49 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) requires local planning authorities to identify and keep up‐to‐date a deliverable five year housing land supply against their housing requirements. Where the Council cannot demonstrate a 5 year housing land supply, there is a presumption in favour of sustainable development in line with the NPPF (para 14). Having an understanding of supply is also key to fulfilling the NPPF requirement to demonstrate the expected rate of housing delivery and how housing targets will be met (paragraph 47). 1.1 This position statement sets out the approach to meeting housing requirements in Aylesbury Vale pending the adoption of the new Local Plan (the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan, VALP). This statement sets out how the current housing supply has been calculated, and the housing requirement target, to be used by the Council in order to apply the appropriate development plan policy tests and the tests set out in the NPPF when determining relevant planning applications in the period before VALP is adopted. 1.2 The five year housing land supply calculation is dynamic and changes as planning permissions are granted and as existing commitments are completed. Therefore it is important that any developer considering submitting a planning application should consider the latest position on the five year housing supply calculation from the Council.
