 ART 321 MEMBERS IN THE SPOTLIGHT  You will not want to miss Carol Swinney’s retrospective, Moments in Nature, at the Nicolaysen Art Museum. This show, which hangs until September 24, allows the viewer to reflect upon the evolution of an artist’s talents and creative influences over time. Carol will also be giving a painting demonstration there on July 27th from 6-7:30. And the Winner of the First ART 321 T-shirt contest is Dave Sneesby! His design features a running antelope, the ART 321 logo and celebrates the 2017 total eclipse. All ART 321 members: Please be sure to make me aware of any awards, honors or up-coming shows and I will be happy to put you in this Spotlight section in upcoming newsletters.

The June Art Walk was a wonderful success and we thank all our many visitors for including ART 321 among their even- ing stops. Highlights included our two featured artists, Clint Saunders and Robert Martinez, who were present to explain more about their creative processes and their artwork. The three new shows on display have filled the ART 321 gallery with original art, making for a not-to-be-missed exhibition. Carole Glenn was the lucky winner of the June Art Walk Raf- fle, taking home Leopard, a painting donated by Bev Mathisen. Our thanks go out to Bev and all the nice people who purchased raffle tickets! If you would be willing to donate a work of art for a future Art Walk, please contact me.

Karen Henneck has donated a beautiful pastel painting, “Summer Afternoon Solitaire”, valued at $500, for our July Art Walk. Tickets are now on sale at regular prices of $5 each or 5 for $20. You will most definitely want to take the chance of winning this spectacular work of art!

Start painting now for the 23rd International Miniature Art Show which will be judged by Karen Henneck. Submissions measuring no more than 25 square inches are due July 28 and entries will be hung in the gallery during August when our visitor numbers should increase due to the Eclipse Festival.
