Taunton Rugby Club are gearing up for the start of the 2017-18 season when once again they will be competing in National League Two (South), the highest level that they have played in since the introduction of league rugby.

Since they were first formed back in 1875, when they played at Fullands in South Road, Taunton RFC who now compete as Taunton Titans have made huge progress.

In 1935 the club moved to Priory Park, which remained their home until 2001 when they moved to a new purpose built stadium at Hyde Park close to the at Bathpool.

Since moving to their new ground Taunton RFC have enjoyed a steady climb up the rugby ladder. Ben Goddard the Taunton RFC Secretary said: “As a club we are absolutely delighted that the three of them have signed and committed for at least another season. Their enthusiasm, professionalism and values that they hold are shared within the Taunton Committee and we look forward to this partnership continuing.’
