Predicted Protein Size: 83 Name: CCCTC-binding factor like Database Link: NP_542185 Gene 140690 Human Q8NI51 Background: Reagent for research, diagnostic tool. BORIS protein has been identified as Cancer-Testis Antigen (CTA) with testis-specific paralogue of the CCCTC-binding factor. Recent studies have demonstrated that d BORIS is directly responsible for the transcriptional activation of TSP50 (testes-specific protease 50). Synonyms: BORIS; CT27; CTCF-T; dJ579F20.2; HMGB1L1 Note: Protein L beads should be used for ChIP and IP because this antibody is IgM kappa Protein Families: Transcription Factors

Agarose gel analyses of PCR products from ChIP assays using mouse anti-BORIS IgM antibody immobilized on Protein L agarose beads. A. PCR products were tested using primers for the known CTS within the human PIM-1 gene. Both BORIS and CTCF shows DNA enrichment at the PIM-1 site. B. PCR perfomed for another characterized CTS (H19ICR). A stronger binding at the H19 site in CTCF ChIPDNA was observed as compared to BORIS ChIP DNA. No antibody reactions for both targets do not show any PCR product. In all ChIP experiments, 1% of sonicated cross-linked cell lysate was used as positive control (Input).
