En esta oportunidad el Ballet del Centro del Conocimiento contará con la presencia del bailarín estrella del American Ballet de New York, Herman Cornejo y de la bailarina Luciana Paris, de la misma compañía.- Salvador Cabral. FUNDAMENTOS Señor Presidente: La puesta en escena de un ballet como “La Bayadera” se trata de un evento cultural de importancia. Este ballet es una de las obras clásicas y fundamentales de la danza clásica, con música de Ludwing Minkus y coreografía original de Serguéi Judekov y Marius Petipa, fue estrenado en el Teatro Bolshoi de San Petersburgo en el año 1877. La variación coreográfica que se interpretará en esta ocasión cuenta con la colaboración de coreógrafos de primer nivel nacional. Notables estrellas de la danza clásica fueron aclamadas por su desempeño en esta obra, tales como Anna Pavlova y Rudolf Nureyev. En esta oportunidad la compañía de Ballet del Centro del Conocimiento, contará con dos figuras destacada trayectoria, Herman Cornejo y Luciana Paris, integrantes del American Ballet Theatre (una de las dos más grandes compañías de Ballet norteamericanas). Herman Cornejo, oriundo de la provincia de San Luis (Argentina), comenzó sus estudios en el Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro “2013 – AÑO DEL BICENTENARIO DE LA ASAMBLEA GENERAL CONSTITUYENTE DE 1813” Colón, Buenos Aires. A los 14 años (1995) recibió una beca del School of American Ballet Theatre, la escuela de ballet del New York City Ballet. Formó parte del Ballet Argentino de Julio Bocca. A los 16 años fue el ganador de la Medalla de Oro del VIII Competición Internacional de Ballet de Moscú (1997), siendo el bailarín más joven en ganar dicho premio en la historia de la competencia. Desde 1999 forma parte del American Ballet, siendo ascendido a Solista en el año 2000 y a Primer Bailarín en el año 2003. Ha participado en numerosas galas y ha recibido numerosas distinciones y premios de organizaciones y festivales internacionales de ballet y de las artes. Entre las distinciones que le fueran otorgadas, UNESCO lo nombró Mensajero de la Paz en el año 2000; The New York Times lo nombró bailarín del año en el año 2004; fue nominado mejor bailarín en la edición 2005 del Benois de la Danse, por mencionar algunas Luciana Paris integra el cuerpo de baile del American Ballet Theatre desde el año 2001. Formada en el Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires, formó parte del Ballet de Cámara de la Argentina, fue solista en el Ballet Estable del Teatro Colón. Luego, y con solo 19 años formó parte del Ballet Argentino de Julio Bocca por cuatro años antes de ingresar al American Ballet Theatre. Dance Data Project® separates metrics into subsections based on program, length of works (full-length, mixed bill), stage (main stage, non-main stage), company type (main company, second company), and premiere (non-premiere, world premiere). The final section of the report compares gender distributions from the 2018- 2019 Season Overview to the present findings. Sources, limitations, and company are detailed at the end of the report. Introduction The report contains three sections. Section I details the total distribution of male and female choreographic works for the 2019-2020 (or equivalent) season. It also discusses gender distribution within programs, defined as productions made up of full-length or mixed bill works, and within stage and company types. Section II examines the distribution of male and female-choreographed world premieres for the 2019-2020 season, as well as main stage and non-main stage world premieres. Ms. Abrera is from South Pasadena, California, and began her studies with Philip and Bentley Roton Martine van Hamel Charles Fuller and Cynthia Young at Le Studio in Pasadena. She continued her studies with Lorna Executive Director Diamond and Patricia Hoffman at the West Coast Ballet Theatre in San Diego.     Julio Bocca Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he has been an international dance star, director and manager. After training at the National School of Dance, in 1982 he joined the Chamber Ballet of the Colón Theatre as a child prodigy, and a year later he was already performing as a soloist. His career began as principal dancer with the Teresa Carreño Foundation in Caracas, in 1985 he won the Gold Medal at the International Competition in Moscow, and the following year he began a 20-year relationship with the American Ballet Theatre in New York as principal dancer.
