Our program is for children in grades 1st through 8th, and runs from the end of September through April. Each year is vital for ensuring that our children receive a fruitful and sound faith formation experience, so that they can live as disciples of Jesus and truly know and love our Catholic faith. As we prepare for the coming year, we are seeking catechists to join us! During this year of transition from COVID back into our “new normal,” we are looking to offer virtual and in-person options for classes, and so we welcome catechists who are interested in teaching in either way. Catechists receive support and training through the Religious Education Office and also through the Diocesan Office of Catechesis. Pope Francis defined the ministry of the catechist as one which calls us to “constantly to go forth to others out of love, to bear witness to Jesus and to talk about Jesus, to proclaim Jesus.” We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a part of this beautiful ministry, which truly helps to shape the future of our Church. If you would like to join us or if you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Jessica Donohue, Director of Religious Education, via email at [email protected] or by phone at 856-983-7575. God bless you and please keep our children and families in your prayers as they begin another year of growing in faith here at St. Joan’s! Adult Faith Formation PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL COMMUNION (during the time we cannot be present for Mass) “My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You are already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from you. Amen.”

NEW GROUP FORMING FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC OR COMPLETING THEIR SACRAMENTS The journey of faith is the most important journey we take as human beings. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process for those who have not been baptized or have been baptized in another Christian denomination and wish to follow Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic tradition. A new group is forming in September. Please contact Debi at [email protected] or Lorrie at 856-596-2087 for more information. Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of Eucharist or Confirmation are also encouraged to participate. Faith in Jesus Christ can change the way we live. It brings purpose, hope and joy into our lives.
