As Las Vegas slowly emerges from the Great Recession, we look to cities like Denver, Phoenix and Orlando, which have carved out their own niches in the w global economy. While each of these cities are different in regards to the way they fit and contribute to it, each of them played to their respective regional strengths and stepped up to invest in long-term safeguards to protect them against the damage of an economic downturn.

The answer to how to make Las Vegas a global city is complex, and many of the experts weighing in to determine what it takes to move Las Vegas forward agree that there isn’t a simple solution or one single industry or project that will catapult Southern Nevada into its own place within the global A economy.
