• Visiting Public and Private Education and Research Institutions to assess their fonctioning, achievements· and challenges, in order to advocate for them as well as ensure accountability and proper management of those institutions . • Organising conferences and seminars , in collabotation with different stakeholders,geard towards raising public awareness on the importance of STI on improving the socio-economic welfare of the people. • Sensitization of the population at the grassroot level practical application of STI to improve their lives. • Controlling the National STI Programmes to ensure that they are relevant and effective in bringing solutions to the needs of the citizens. • Advocate for increase in budget allocation for STI. • Advocate for the establishment of a National Comission for Science, Technology and Innovation, which will be responsible for the coordination of all programmes related to STI. • Advocate for a speedy establishment of an STI Trust Fund, which will be responsible for supporting the implementation of STI and R&D programmes. • Advocate for a higher participation of women in Scientific Fields at University, in Research Institutions, and employment positions in public and private sectors(students,academicians,researchres, decision makers). • Parliament website: www.rwandaparliament.gov.rw YOU YOU
