Pickering Place Detour

June 2015

Beginning June 28th 2015, access out of Station will be detoured via Pickering Place as part of the O-Train Confederation Line construction at Tremblay Station.

Pickering Place Detour

WHY: As part of the O-Train Confederation Line construction, the will close between and starting Sunday June 28 and a dedicated bus lane on Highway 417 in both directions will be used so the O-Train Confederation Line project can start converting the Transitway from to a Light Rail Transit system.

The Transitway will be slightly realigned between Tremblay Station and Tremblay Road. This work requires reconstruction of the access road from VIA Rail Station to Tremblay Road. In order to complete this work, the access road from VIA Rail Station will be detoured via Pickering Place to Tremblay Road.

WHAT: Implementation of the completed Pickering Place detour will be used during construction of the guideway and future Tremblay Station, scheduled to begin as early as June 28.

WHEN: The detour is scheduled to be in effect as early as June 28, 2015 until the end of 2016.

WHERE: Traffic into VIA Rail Station from Tremblay Road will be maintained. Traffic exiting VIA Rail Station will be detoured via Pickering Place to Tremblay Road. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the detour phase.

OC Transpo For OC Transpo connections to VIA Rail, take Route 92 or 96, which will be the only routes directly serving the station. Routes 92 and 96 will travel via Riverside Drive and Tremblay Road, serve VIA Rail on the station’s ring road, then take Pickering Place to continue along Tremblay to St. Laurent Blvd. to end at St. Laurent Station. Service to VIA Rail station will operate about every 15 minutes, seven days a week. For further details please visit octranspo.com.
