March 26, 2021 Chairman Dan Scripps Commissioner Tremaine Phillips Commissioner Katherine Peretick Michigan Public Service Commission 7109 W. Saginaw Highway Lansing, MI 48917 RE: MPSC Case No. U-20763 Dear Chairman Scripps, Commissioner Phillips, and Commissioner Peretick: As you undertake your review of Enbridge Energy’s proposed oil pipeline tunnel, the undersigned organizations and individuals submit this letter to (1) urge you to include evidence related to the environmental effects of climate change, and to determine this evidence is relevant and admissible in conjunction with your review of this project; and (2) reassure you that you have ample statutory and state constitutional authority to reach such a determination and to actually consider climate-related evidence in conjunction with your review of this proposal for new fossil fuel infrastructure beneath the Great Lakes. We also urge you to include critically important evidence of the environmental risks and the absence of significant public need for extending the life of the Line 5 oil pipeline. Background In this time of climate emergency, governments and leaders at all levels must consider the potential impacts of climate change in all long-term decision-making processes, especially in a case such as this, where the Commission will be deciding whether to allow the construction of new fossil fuel infrastructure that, if built, is expected to remain in place for decades to come, and up to 99 years. While climate change is truly a global crisis, we are experiencing the impacts of this crisis in our state right now. Here in Michigan, over the past year climate change has contributed to major flooding, catastrophic dam failures, extreme fluctuations in lake levels, heat waves, and powerful storms that disrupted power for hundreds of thousands of Michiganders. -

Soundcheck Books. Paperback. Book Condition: new. BRAND NEW, A Passion Play: The Story of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull, Brian Rabey, This is a book in two parts. Part one is a history of the band, largely told by band members themselves - Maartin Allcock , Mick Abrahams, Martin Barre, Clive Bunker, Glenn Cornick, John Evans, Andy Giddings. Jerey Hammond, Dave Pegg, Doane Perry, and, of course, Ian Anderson. Author Brian Rabey really did have 'access all areas' for this work. He made good use of it as well, oen relating the same story (for example, how Martin Barre came to join Tull) but from dierent people's viewpoints. Part two, is devoted to the thoughts of Ian Anderson, again largely told in the man's words in interviews that stretch back to Anderson's first meeting with Rabey in the 1970s, right up to the present. -

All that tread The globe are but a handful to the tribes That slumber in its bosom. So shalt thou rest, — and what if thou shalt fall Unnoticed by the living, and no friend Take note of thy departure ? All that breathe Will share thy destiny. So live, that when thy summons comes to join The innumerable caravan that moves To the pale realms of shade, where each shall take His chamber in the silent halls of death, Thou go not like the quarry-slave at night. Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams." PREFACE. From the most ancient times mankind has been more power- fully moved to heroic and noble deeds by the thought of the fame that should live after them than by any other considera- tion. " " It is a familiar saying that blood will tell ; men are proud to own blooded horses or cattle, yet speak as though it were a credit not to know the name of their grand-parents ; entertain- ing the notion that they need no personal record of themselves outside their family circle.
