Internship in brief Carnegie Investment works within Corporate Finance advisory services and, on a yearly basis, offers an internship programme with good prospects for full-time employment. The internship programme runs over multiple periods of the year at the Helsinki office. You will have the opportunity to become an integral part of the Finnish Corporate Finance team for approx. 3-5 months. The application period for 2021 internship programmes are open, with the deadline for applications on September 15th. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis, so remember to apply at your earliest convenience.

Carnegie provides an excellent toolkit for career development The internship programme provides you with valuable opportunities to network while gaining industrial experience by working with senior team members on diverse projects. You will also be expected to work independently on given tasks in order to boost your personal development. Early on in the internship, you will have the opportunity to engage in mergers and acquisitions (private and public M&A) as well as initial public offerings (IPOs) and other capital market transactions (including both ECM and DCM transactions). You will work in a fast-paced environment where curiosity, ambition and diversity are regarded as enriching qualities as well as necessities to achieve superior results.

Candidate profile We are looking for applicants that have, as of the start date of the internship, finished at least two years of higher education in finance, accounting, economics, industrial engineering and management, or other relevant subjects while maintaining a strong academic track record. Studies abroad and/or previous experience from the industry are considered an advantage, but not a requirement. In addition, we value responsibility taking team-players with a genuine interest to learn more about Carnegie and investment banking.

Expected work tasks • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of companies and industries • Company valuation and financial modelling • Producing project and marketing materials, investor presentations, prospectuses and other documentation • Engaging in project coordination and meetings with clients and other advisers
