Introduction

Dzukou Valley is a beautiful valley located in the boarders of and in the region of north east . Dzukou is famous for its Lily flowers which is found only in this valley. Popularly known as Dzukou Lily. The valley is located at the altitude of 2453M(8000ft) above the sea level. It covers an area of about 27sq km. Trek Information

The valley has to offer you gorgeous views in every season. But the Dzukou liliies blooms in the monsoon season(july-august) and visitors are much keen to visit to witness its bloomings. No matter what the season is Dzukou will never dispoint you  Temperature : In winter the tempreture drop down to one and somtimes one can expect the valley covered with snow.

 Day 1 : Guwahati to Dimapur  Day 2 : Dimapur to Base camp  Day 3 : Base camp to the Valley and back to Base Camp  Day 4 : Base camp to / and then Proceed to Guwahati  Day 5 : Arrived Guwahati by Morning

Detailed Itinerary  Day 1 : Guwahati to Dimapur Assembled at Guwathi railway station at night as per the train scheduled.  Day 2 : Dimapur to Base camp Dimapur to Base camp.Reaching Dimapur by 6am.Drive to viswema(Time: 3-4 hours).Breakfast/ lunch on the way.Start the trek by 11 am Reach Dzouku Base camp by evening.Night stay at the Base camp.  Day 3 : Base camp to the Valley and back to Base Camp Base camp to the Valley.After breakfast starts trekking to the valley(Time: 2-3 hours).Explore the valley/have packed lunch at the valley and come by evening.Overnight stay at the base camp

 Day 4 : Base camp to Jakhama/Viswema and then Proceed to Guwahati Base camp to Jakhama/Viswema.Starts back journey after breakfast.Drive to Jakhama/ Viswema to Dimapur.Catch the train at night to Guwahati.  Day 5 : Arrived Guwahati by Morning Arrived Guwahati by Morning.Trek end here..

How to Reach ? There are two ways to Dzukou. The valley is accessible from both the north eastern states Manipur and Nagaland. But the most convenient and popular approach is from Nagaland. From ,the capital of Nagaland is the straightforward way to enter. There are two ways again from nagaland to start the trek to the valley. From Zakhma (town in Nagaland), its about 20 km from Kohima and Viswema,about 25 km from Kohima. The visitors can reach kohima by bus and train. The nearest railway station is Dimapur. From dimapur taxies,shared taxies are available to zakhma and viswema. The zakhma route to the valley is more demanding as it takes less time than Viswema and its more moderate.
