We are very well served by planning workshop facilitated by our Directors and by our employees. Guy Honnor of Sport Taranaki and TCA was formed to foster the growth attended by representatives from NZC and development of cricket in this and Central Districts. We areCopy currently province to and, although come there are working on a draft strategic plan which always areas we must strive to we intend to circulate for feedback to improve, cricket continues to thrive all clubs, life members, sponsors and in Taranaki. other stakeholders shortly. We hope that the plan will have a uniquely Taranaki Cricket flavour to it and that it will assist us to focus on Russell Wilson our medium to long terms goals. Chairman of the Board One of the treasures that we identified during the workshop was Pukekura Park. We need to ensure that we continue to get the amount of high level cricket at the park that we currently get. That means that we need to continue to develop TCA’s assets in respect of the Park. We need to upgrade the sightscreens and the scoreboard. We also need additional training added to the block. The Board is currently working on all of these matters. Ideally we would like to see the blackcaps play at Pukekura Park. That will be difficult and it is at least a 10 year plan but the Board intends to take steps to investigate what needs to be done to bring the blackcaps here. March 2019 will mark the 125 year anniversary of the date of the meeting which led to the formation of TCA. We are already planning our Jubilee Celebrations for Taranaki Anniversary weekend of 2019. Please mark your diaries. We want you all involved. We have a working party of eminent TCA administrators and former administrators already in place.
