Resolved, That the Committee will meet on Mondays at 4.30pm.

Resolved, That the Committee will take oral evidence in public, except where it otherwise orders.

Ordered, That the Clerk should be permitted to brief witnesses on likely topics of interest to the Committee in advance of oral evidence sessions.

Ordered, That witnesses who submit written evidence to the Committee are authorised to publish it on their own account, subject to the discretion of the Chair or where the Committee otherwise orders.

Resolved, That the Committee will not investigate individual cases, except where it otherwise orders.

Ordered, That, in order to ensure that Committee business is discharged efficiently, the Chair shall be delegated the power to:

Engage in correspondence on Committee matters which are not sufficiently significant to require approval by the Committee or is of a routine nature;

Arrange informal meetings in Westminster on matters relating to the Committee's remit;

Amend the timing of Committee meetings, where necessary;

Authorise the issue of press notices in relation to Committee business; and

Decide to which parliamentary proceedings Committee Reports should be tagged for debate in the House or Westminster Hall and, subject to a degree of prior negotiation, propose reports to the Liaison Committee for debate in Westminster Hall.

6. Vauxhall Zafira Fires

Draft Special Report (Vauxhall Zafira Fires: Government Response to the Committee's Tenth Report of Session 2016-17), proposed by the Chair, brought up, read the first and second time, and agreed to.

The Government's response to the Tenth Report from the Committee was appended to the Report.

Resolved, That the Report be the First Special Report of the Committee to the House.
