Tennis Week with Jeremy Bates Jeremy Bates returns to Carlisle Bay, Antigua to serve up a third set of professional tennis weeks 11 to 17 November 2012 No Single Supplements on Ocean and Garden Suites Britain’s former No.1 tennis player and popular sports correspondent, Jeremy Bates, returns to Carlisle Bay, Antigua for a second year running, to host another professional tennis week. With years of experience coaching top players and most recently Britain’s Ladies No.2, Anna Keothavong, Jeremy is the ideal mentor to help tennis enthusiasts get the most from a sporting holiday. Jeremy’s professional tennis career highlights include wins over Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras to name a few. He played for Great Britain in the Davis Cup from 1986 to 1994, as well as leading the British team as coach and captain for six years, and won the Wimbledon and Australian Open Doubles mixed doubles in 1987 and 1991. The tennis weeks at Carlisle Bay are designed for keen players. Older teenagers looking to hone their competitive skills are welcome to join. Single players can stay in Garden or Ocean Suites with no single rate supplements and all the participants will have the chance to meet and mingle with Jeremy Bates and the other tennis enthusiasts at the Sunday evening welcome reception, before the coaching begins. Guests will train in morning clinics taken by Jeremy, where they will work on perfecting their technique, skills and match play with a small group of other regular tennis players. There will also be a competition and prize giving dinner to end the week. Carlisle Bay boasts nine tennis courts - eight cushioned hard courts and one artificial grass court; four are flood lit for evening play and are surrounded by a backdrop of lush rainforests set back from the Caribbean Sea.
