DIRECTIONS TO WHITE HOUSE FARM, HASKETON

BY CAR

IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT use SAT NAV to find your way to White House Farm as we provide directions for the most appropriate route to the farm, taking into consideration the local residents and the single track roads. Thank you!

A12 London to Great Yarmouth 1. Travelling north on the A12, shortly after the Sutton Hoo/Melton roundabout at Woodbridge, take the first left signposted to .

OR: Travelling south, after the bypass A12 dual carriageway ends, take the second right signposted to Bredfield.

2. Then take the first left signposted to Hasketon 3. Take the second right turning where the sign does not point to the right but says Hasketon and Woodbridge straight on and Bredfield and towards the way you have come. White House Farm is about 1/3 mile down this road on the right hand side after Fir Tree Cottages on the right then about 100 yards after Hasketon House on the right. When you turn into the driveway, you will find the parking area on your left.

From the A140 From the A140, turn off onto the B1078 to Coddenham. At Otley, you drive past the entrance to Otley College and at the T-junction at the end of the road, turn right towards Woodbridge/Clopton B1079/Wickham Mkt./ (B1078). Take the first left onto the B1078 road to Wickham Market. Take the fourth turning to the right signposted Woodbridge/Bredfield/Debach. Carry on this road for about 2 ½ miles through Debach, then then into Bredfield. Look out for a signpost on the RHS “Hasketon 1 ½ miles” and turn right here. (If you see the village water pump on a traffic island on the LHS you have gone too far by about 60 metres.) Then follow step 3 above.

From the A1120 A1120 travelling from to , in Framsden turn right onto the B1077 signposted /Woodbridge/Framsden /Otley/Helmingham. Then in a couple of miles turn left onto the B1079 signposted Woodbridge/Otley/. After driving through Otley village take the left turning onto the B1078 road to Wickham Market. Take the fourth turning to the right signposted Woodbridge/Bredfield/Debach. Carry on this road for about 2 ½ miles through Debach, then Boulge then into Bredfield. Look out for a signpost on the RHS “Hasketon 1 ½ miles” and turn right here. (If you see the village water pump on a traffic island on the LHS you have gone too far by about 60 metres.) Then follow step 3 above.

BY TRAIN: Woodbridge train station (regular direct trains available from London Liverpool Street/Ipswich/ on the Liverpool Street to Ipswich/Lowestoft or Ipswich to Lowestoft line: www.greateranglia.co.uk. From the train station you can take a bus from a nearby bus stop on Hamblin Road (see below) or hire an electric bicycle from The Crown on Quay Street (see http://www.electricbikehire.co.uk/01-locations-electric-bikes.php) Alternatively, there are taxis at the train station.

BY BUS FROM WOODBRIDGE TRAIN STATION (takes approx. 13 mins) : Buses run several times a day Monday to Saturday (no bus service available on Sundays). From Woodbridge train station, walk (approx. 5 mins) to Hamblin Road opposite the Turban Centre, to the 64 bus stop (a map is provided on the website search results page). The 64 bus takes you to Hasketon Church. WALKING FROM THE HASKETON CHURCH BUS STOP TO WHITE HOUSE FARM (takes approx. 1/2 hour): With Hasketon church on your left and the village hall/post box on your right, walk straight ahead. You will reach a sharp right hand bend where there is a brick wall with a Boulge Road sign. Follow the bend to the right and carry straight on. Turn down the second left turning, in about 1/2 mile, opposite Highfield House. White House Farm is a 1/3 mile down this road on the right hand side. You will pass Fir Tree Cottages then Hasketon House before you arrive at White House Farm on the right hand side. NB We have applied for a request bus stop at the end of White House Farm road and hope this will soon be available.
