Formed in 1994, ALLY X is a five member local Atlanta, GA rock cover band of seasoned musicians with a history of numerous performances at various venues. The band performs popular new rock music as well as memorable songs from the ‘80s and ‘90s right from the current play lists of Atlanta rock radio stations. The ALLY X song list is revised with new additions on a continuous basis in order to keep the shows fresh and updated and includes a “Kid Rock” tribute mini-set that gets the crowd on their feet at every show. ALLY X places great emphasis on playing the cover songs as close as possible to the original artist renditions in order to keep the music recognizable and fun for the audience. The focus of ALLY X cover songs is on guitar driven rock music. The band features three lead vocalists that include both male and female vocals, allowing for emphasis to be placed on strong harmonies and solid backing vocals. Instruments include acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards and drums/percussion. Throughout the years, ALLY X has performed at many private parties and clubs in the Atlanta and Athens areas and is considered to be one of the top cover bands in the area. Some of the most noteworthy performances include multiple appearances at the Mall of Georgia Summer Concert Series for three consecutive years, beginning with three shows in 2007 that included the 4th of July Independence Day celebration that year. The band's foundation of popular cover music is reinforced by a professional sound system and top notch equipment. ALLY X is committed to keeping their music and equipment at a competitive level in order to create bigger, better and more impressive shows for their audiences. For small to medium sized venues, the band utilizes Bose Personal Amplification Systems (PAS) to serve as back line, monitor and mains amplification that is supplemented by a small but powerful P.A. system. The Bose PAS is a revolutionary concept in live music amplification which provides sound for both the musicians and their audience at the same time. The system provides a clarity and dimensionality to the music that must be heard to be appreciated. For larger venues or clubs that prefer the traditional setup, the band can revert to the standard back-line guitar amp and front-line monitor setup supported by a larger house P.A. ALLY X has set goals to continue growing as a band along with their fans and to provide entertaining shows that will not be forgotten. The band is professional, reliable, has an excellent reputation and takes great pride in the creativity and quality of both their music and their shows. Safe And Sound Musicians: Sully Erna: lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, drums, percussion, Tony Rombola: lead guitar, backing vocals Robbie Merrill: bass, Shannon Larkin: drums, percussion Godsmack may never garner the kind of praise that's bestowed upon its obvious influences (Metallica, Alice in Chains, Tool), but the hard-working Boston quartet has managed to stay at the top of the alternative metal heap for nearly eight years. IV, produced by frontman Sully Erna, doesn't stray too far from the formula, relying on big midtempo brooders and heavy, drop-D riffs to work in the usual themes of loneliness, betrayal, and the overuse of the word "bleeding." For the most part it's cliché done well -- the record opens with an audio collage of children saying their prayers before bed -- and the band can turn it up to 11 with the best of them.
