The Canadian Niagara Power Generating Station is a marvel of engineering and architecture. Completed in 1905, it was the first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara River, and a pioneer in the development of hydroelectric power in the province of Ontario. Since acquiring ownership of the decommissioned power plant in 2009, Niagara Parks has explored options for its potential reuse and is currently moving forward with plans for a new, one-of-a-kind guest experience to open at the site in 2021.
