Nevertheless, there is plenty of motivation for the home team after they succumbed 5-0 in the reverse fixture. • In Munich on 29 September, Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick with Douglas Costa and Mario Götze also on target. It was the first contest between the sides on the European stage and the first time Bayern had met opponents from Croatia. Match background Dinamo • Dinamo have not won in 11 matches against German sides, drawing two. Their best home performance was a 2- 2 draw with 1. FC Magdeburg in the 1976/77 UEFA Cup second round (agg: 2-4). • They began this campaign with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal FC, their first in 16 UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures (L13 D2) since a 3-0 win at home to SK Sturm Graz on matchday three in 1999/2000. • In their double header with Olympiacos FC the Zagreb club lost 1-0 at home and 2-1 away. On matchday five they went down 3-0 in London. • This is the fifth time Dinamo have failed to qualify from the group stage in five attempts – 1998/99, 1999/2000, 2011/12 and 2012/13 were their previous participations. • In fact in all 11 UEFA club competition group stages – six in the UEFA Europa League/UEFA Cup – Dinamo have yet to make it through to the next phase. • The Zagreb team qualified after a 4-1 home win (6-2 on aggregate) in the play-offs against KF Skënderbeu. They were held 1-1 at home by both CS Fola Esch in the second qualifying round (4-1 aggregate) and Molde FK (4-4 aggregate, Dinamo win on away goals) in the third qualifying round. Bayern • Bayern scored eight goals with no reply in their first two Group F fixtures, winning 3-0 at Olympiacos on matchday one. • They followed their defeat of Dinamo with a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal before beating the London team 5-1 at home. Their 4-0 win over Olympiacos on 23 November secured their status as group winners and took their goal tally to 17 in the five games. • The German title holders, who are in their 19th group stage campaign, reached the UEFA Champions League semi- finals for the fourth time in a row last term, going out against FC Barcelona (0-3 away, 3-2 home). • Josep Guardiola's charges have lost four of their last six away games in the competition, drawing one. Coach and player links • Zoran Mamić played for VfL Bochum 1848, Bayer 04 Leverkusen as well as SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Rot-Weiss Ahlen and SV Eintracht Trier 05 but failed to claim a victory in five encounters with Bayern (D3 L2). • Bayern goalkeeper Ivan Lucic is of Croatian origin. • Junior Fernandes played for Bayer Leverkusen in 2013/14 while Gordon Schildenfeld represented Eintracht Frankfurt and MSV Duisburg in Germany's 2. Bundesliga. • International team-mates: Arturo Vidal & Junior Fernandes, Ángelo Henríquez (Chile). • Played together: Rafinha & Eduardo (Genoa CFC) Thiago Alcántara & Dani Olmo (FC Barcelona) Match facts Dinamo • Marko Rog is a booking away from suspension. • Dinamo have won their last four Prva Liga matches, culminating in a 2-1 defeat of HNK Hajduk Split in the 203rd Eternal Derby on 5 December. El Arabi Al-Hilal Soudani scored the last-minute winner – the Algerian's first league goal since August. • Rog scored twice, his first league goals of the season, in the 3-1 home victory against NK Lokomotiva Zagreb on 29 November. 4 GNK Dinamo Zagreb - FC Bayern München Wednesday 9 December 2015 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb • Dinamo have lost six of their last 13 fixtures in all competitions, having gone into matchday two 45 unbeaten. • The capital side have kept only one clean sheet in their last 15 matches (1-0 v NK Istra 1961, 8 November). Bayern • Holger Badstuber is banned following his red card against Olympiacos, while Jérôme Boateng is a booking away from a suspension. • Bayern lost their first Bundesliga game of the season on 5 December, going down 3-1 at VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach. They had dropped just two points in their first 14 games of the campaign, and set a new league record by winning their first ten. • Bayern had not conceded three goals in a game since a 3-0 defeat at FC Barcelona in the first leg of last season's UEFA Champions League semi-finals, on 6 May. • Franck Ribéry came off the bench against Gladbach and scored in what was his first appearance since sustaining an ankle injury on 11 March. • Thomas Müller scored the opener in the 2-0 home victory against Hertha BSC Berlin on 28 November. It was his 13th Bundesliga goal this term, equalling his career-best tally for a campaign. • Lewandowski has found the net 28 times in 27 outings for club and country in 2015/16. Müller has scored 24 in 27. • Douglas Costa (thigh) and Arjen Robben (calf) have missed Bayern's last two games; David Alaba (foot) has sat out the last three. • Thiago Alcántara sustained a knee injury during Spain's 2-0 success against England on 13 November and was expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks. • Götze was ruled out for ten to 12 weeks after rupturing a tendon in his groin during Germany's UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying loss to the Republic of Ireland on 8 October. • Juan Bernat (thigh) has been unavailable since late October. 5 GNK Dinamo Zagreb - FC Bayern München Wednesday 9 December 2015 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb Squad list GNK Dinamo Zagreb Current season All-time UCLQ UCL League UCL UEFA No. Player Nat.
