Big Picture  San Diego State owns the nation’s longest win streak (16).  San Diego State remains one of two undefeated teams in the country.  SDSU’s continues its second-best start in program history (20-0 in 2010-11).  San Diego State is 16-0 this season. The Aztecs were 9-7 after 16 games last season.  The Aztecs are 5-0 in campaign. It is the fourth time in the last 10 seasons that San Diego State is perfect through the first five conference games. Last season SDSU was 2-3 after five conference games.  San Diego State’s 16-game winning streak is the longest in the Brian Dutcher era and is the third-longest in school history.  San Diego State improves to a nation-best 8-0 in road/neutral games this season (5-0 road and 3-0 neutral).  The eight-game road/neutral win streak is the fourth longest streak in school history.

Tonight  The 20-point margin of victory is the second largest margin for San Diego State at Wyoming (38 all-time meetings).  The Aztecs defeat Wyoming in Laramie for just the 11th time in school history (11-27).  San Diego State won its seventh game of the season by at least 20 points.  San Diego State eclipsed 50 percent field goal shooting and is now 23-1 with 11 straight wins in the Brian Dutcher era when shooting 50 percent or better from the floor.  San Diego State has won 35 straight games when holding its opponent to less than 60 points.  The Aztecs have won 23 consecutive games when shooting better than its opponent.  San Diego State has won 22 consecutive games when leading at intermission.  For the 12th time this season the Aztecs held the opposition to 40 percent or less from the field. SDSU has won 20 consecutive games when that has occurred.  The Aztecs outrebounded its opponent for the 13th time in 16 games this season.

Yanni Wetzell – 17 points, 7-7 FGs, 4 rebounds 2 assists Becomes the fourth San Diego State player in the Brian Dutcher/Steve Fisher era to make at least seven field goals without a miss in the game (also: Nathan Mensah, Aerick Sander and, Billy White)… Reached double figures for the 10th time this season and 19th time in his career… He has scored 10 or more points in consecutive games and in five of the last six contests… His 17 points match his second-highest total as an Aztec and most since posting 17 points against San Diego Christian (12-18-19)… Last two games: 27 points, 12-18 FGs (66.7 percent) and nine rebounds.

Malachi Flynn – 19 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds Led San Diego State in scoring for the fifth straight game… This was the ninth time this season he led SDSU in assists and the 11th time he owned the team lead in scoring… Posted his sixth straight double-digit scoring game and reached double figures for the 15th time in 16 games this season… It was his 53rd career double-figure scoring game… 13 of his 19 points came after intermission… Posted a team high plus/minus of +24.

Jordan Schakel – 11 points, 3-6 3FGs, 7 rebounds, 2 steals Posted his second straight double-digit game… The Aztecs improve to 18-2 in Schakel’s career with 11 straight wins when he scores at least 10 points… Went 3-for-6 from three-point range tonight and is now made 6-of-10 treys the last two games… For the season, he has connected on 35-of-76 from bonus distance (46.1 percent)… His seven rebounds tied a season high (also: vs. Cal Poly (12-28-19)) and are one short of his career best… Also tied a season-best with two steals.

Matt Mitchell – 5 points, 8 rebounds, 0 turnovers, 27 minutes On a night in which he struggled to score, Mitchell recorded a team-high eight rebounds… The eight boards were one short of his career-high and marked the third time this season and the ninth time in his career he led the Aztecs in the category… Mitchell has at least six rebounds in three straight games (21 total, 7.0 rpg) for the first time in his 83-game career.

Adam Seiko – 5 points, 2 assists, 0 turnovers, 19 minutes Continued his turnover free streak to 110 minutes… Snapped a two-game scoring drought with five points… Has seven assists with no turnovers in his last seven games… The 19 minutes of action are the most since logging 21 minutes against San Diego Christian (12-18-19).
