Road railway bridge, at Duntreath Avenue next traffic lights into Retail Park, off Duntreath Avenue flyover on to Great Western Road east bound carriageway and Dalsetter Avenue. Moraine Avenue at Moraine Place. Corner of Crawford Drive and Gowanlea Avenue. At cirner of Keal Avenue next 44 Keal Avenue.Flooding at bus stop at Kearn Avenue on Great Western Road now appears to be fixed. Various street lights noted “out” on Blairdardie Drive and Gt Western Road near to Roman Avenue. Two on canal bridge at Key Store, Blairdardie Road. One street light R1 in Bladnoch Drive. 4. Police Report: Blairdardie/ “AE” Subdivision. Inspector –Drumchapel and West Police 532 3655 The Drumchapel Office 220 Road East G158PT is manned 24hours contact 0141 532 3600 or 532 3655. For “non” emergencies call 101 rather than “999”. Community police in attendance and gave the following crime statistics in our area from 16th October.7 reported assault’s 2 undetected. 7 road traffic offences 3 detected. 6 under misuse of drugs act. All detected. 14 crimes of theft which includes theft from a motor vehicle, shoplifting and theft of a pedal cycle. 7 detected. Section 38 Breach of Peace which means that the police can be a “victim” of breach of the peace. 8 of which 5 have been detected. 5 vandalisms 2 detected. This covers a car being scratched or a wing mirror being kicked off and is often difficult to detect. One housebreaking with intent to steal at Drumchapel St Andrews Church. One culpable and reckless. This could cover a brick through a window. One wilful fire raising in a park. One fraud and one attempted fraud which involved a bogus workman trying to gain access to a house. Beware of bogus callers as recently we have found them to be very plausible and well dressed. One such gentleman claimed to be from the council to measure up for scaffolding. They are now enticing householder’s out of the house while an accomplice nips into the house. Another gentleman claimed to be a postman. Leaflets on “beat doorstep crime” were given out. Question: Seems to be an upsurge in drug dealing locally. Answer: Will follow up. Question: Any more information on attempted dog thefts? Am aware if one attempted theft of a dog from a garden in Golf Drive. A white van was seen in the area around the time. Answer: Will note. But not aware of any recent attempts. Question: Any assaults in area of high flats? Answer: Only note three incidents regarding misuse of drugs in the nearby area. None related to assaults. Plain clothes officers were active in the area last weekend. Question: There used to be a register held in the local police station which listed local autistic adults. Is this still in use or kept updated? Am aware of local people who had registered young adults some time ago. Answer: Was aware of this but not sure if it is kept up to date. Will enquire. Question: Parking at Blairdardie Primary School causing concern. Also parking at Cloverbank nursery parking on edge of junction at round-a-bout. Answer; Well aware of problems as on Friday on duty at Corpus Christi Primary School. Am aware

of traffic wardens recently at local primary schools. Question: What do body cameras record? Answer: Record both sound and image. Now there are DVD recordings of each and every interview. Planning / Licensing Applications: The Co-operative Estates owners of Drumchapel Shopping Centre believe there are solid grounds to judicially review the city council’s decision to grant Aldi planning consent. The Co-op have consequently initiated this process. 15/01562/DC. 2315 Great Western Road G15 6RT. Demolition of existing dwelling house. The community council have lodged an objection. This application has been refused. Applicant has three months to appeal this decision. Letter from Councillor Carey indicating that Tough Construction would be applying for consent to erect a builders yard and administration buildings on a vacant site at Dalsetter Business Park. 11. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board: Glasgow City Community Health Partnership. The Glasgow City Integration Joint Board is keen that as many people as possible have the opportunity to comment on the draft Strategic Plan for the North West of Glasgow. There is a discussion session on Wednesday 2nd December in West Centre 60 Kinfauns Drive, (Next Health Centre). It was noted that the newly formed High Knightswood and Anniesland Community Council received an award of £1500 to erect a notice board at Knightswood Cross. 14. Blairdrum Neighbourhood Centre: The Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 26th November at 2.30pm in the Blairdrum Centre, 11 Keal Place. 15. Any Other Business: Community Council website is in the process of being “constructed”. Twitter site up and running. McMillan Coffee morning held in the Blairdrum Neighbourhood Centre has raised £505. Community Council to write a letter of thanks to the Blairum Centre. Trees pruned and cut back on road off flyover at Duntreath Avenue that lie beside burn and first bungalow east on Great Western Road. Blairdardie School Christmas Fair. Friday 4th December 3.15 to 5pm. Adults £1 entry. Cloverbank Nusery School. Work started on the new sensory garden. They have achieved their Eco “Green” Flag. On Friday 18th December Santa’s Grotto will be installed at Cloverbank Nursery School. Would a speaker on Prostrate Cancer be of interest at a future Community Council meeting? 16.
