2015 ARC NATIONAL • PREMIUM LIST • 3 ATTENTION EXHIBITORS Welcome to the 2015 ARC National Specialty. The show site will be available to Exhibitors at 7:00 am Monday thru Saturday. No dogs are allowed overnight and must be removed no later 7PM each night. All dogs/crates must be removed from the Event Center by 5PM Saturday April 25, 2015. There will be plenty of space for spectators and holding area for dogs waiting to go into the ring. No un-entered dogs are allowed in the Exhibitor Center. Conformation Crating: Conformation Crating: There will be no ringside crating outside the Conformation Ring. Day crating will be available in the Grooming Room on a “first-come/first- served” basis. There will be no electricity available. Agility, Obedience & Rally Crating: Ringside crating will be allowed outside the Agility and Obedience/Rally Rings for dogs participating in those venues only. Crates in Performance area must have something placed under them: plastic, mat, etc. No cones/ taping/etc. is allowed in the Exhibition Hall as well as in any parking area at Purina and ALL Hotels. There are no ex pens allowed in the Purina Parking Lot; nor is there any overnight parking. Violators may be subject to an Event Committee Hearing. Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their dogs under control at all times & MUST clean up after their dogs in any area of Purina Farms. Remember that dogs need to be on leash at all times. There will be a designated area for bathing of dogs posted. Please remember that any complaints may result in an Event Committee Hearing. All first-place and major award winners are REQUIRED to have a photograph taken by the official show photographers. Any first place and major award winner who does not wish to receive a personal copy of his/her photo is required to tell the photographer at the time the photo is taken. Requesting a photo be taken constitutes a contract between the owner and/or exhibitor and the photographer. Show photographer: Turley Photography. BEGINNER PUPPIES (4-6 MONTHS OF AGE) AKC SANCTIONED BEGINNER PUPPY COMPETITION – JUDGE: LEW OLSON The American Kennel Club has designed the Beginner Puppy Special Attraction to be an opportunity for puppies to interact with people and other dogs under a puppy friendly judge and show ring. New pure-bred puppy owners are encouraged to enter to explore competing in AKC events. One combined class, not divided by sex, will be offered for Rottweilers that are four (4) months & under six (6) months on Friday, April 24, 2015. An AKC registration number or litter number will be required. Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s protocol. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4-6 month Puppy Special Attraction event. Professional Handlers are not allowed to exhibit in this competition. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Entry Fee: $30.00 (including AKC recording fee of $2.00 for each dog. These fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.) Entries will close Wednesday Noon, April 1, 2015 at Baray Events office.

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner’s records. AKC Select Dog and Bitch and ARC Selects will be awarded following Best of Breed. ARC SELECT AWARDS: All dogs eligible for the Best of Breed Competition shall be considered for these awards. 16 • 2015 ARC NATIONAL • PREMIUM LIST Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries As the judges decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible for Best of Breed Competition by virtue of having won any of these classes. STUD DOG CLASS – For Stud Dogs and two their Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. The owner of the stud dog need not necessarily be owner of the get. While the merits of the stud dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the stud dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular class. An entry fee of $35.00 will be charged for the Stud Dog if he is NOT entered in one of the Regular Classes, Non-Regular Classes or for Best of Breed Competition. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records. MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class Competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. In an effort to promote the entire Rottweiler and showcase the versatility of our breed, ARC is awarding Triathlon awards to Rottweilers which distinguish themselves in performance and/or companion events at the National Specialty. Any Rottweiler qualifying in three or more different performance and/or companion event categories plus the Triathlon Conformation Evaluation will be recognized by the ARC with a Certificate of Achievement. The highest combined scoring dog will receive the title “ARC Triathlon Rottweiler of the Year.” This is a remarkable achievement! 22 • 2015 ARC NATIONAL • PREMIUM LIST NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS – ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. • The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. • No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT. • RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $30.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. We will not re-process checks. The exhibitor will be contacted & required to send a money order for the original amount PLUS the $30.00 NSF fee. Subsequent returned checks from same person may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. • REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed by the Club to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Females in season are not permitted to compete in Obedience or Rally Trials. If a female is withdrawn from competition because it came into season and the Superintendent is notified no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial, the club is required to refund the entry fee. The club may retain a processing fee and must publish this information in the premium. Clubs may determine the documentation, if any that is required to confirm the female is in season. This shall be stated in the premium. Note: No fee is paid to the AKC for females in season who are withdrawn. • FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. • Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. • Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. • LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. • Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. • ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
