PNGRB has approved the following Petroleum Products Pipelines proposals in its 85th Board meeting held on 10.12.2018: - i) Grant of authorization for Kandla- LPG Pipeline: -

The Board granted authorization to the Consortium of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. with the following specifications: -

A. Total Length of the pipeline : 2757 km

B. Length of Trunk Pipeline : 1926 km

C. Length of Feeder Pipelines : 460 km

D. Length of Spur lines : 371 km

E. Diameter : 20” to 8”

F. System Capacity of the Pipeline : 8.25 MMTPA

G. Estimated Capex : Rs. 8990 Crore

The route of this pipeline will be Kandla-Mithi Rohar-Ahmedabad- -Indore--Bina---Unnao-Roodapur-- Gorakhpur. This pipeline would inter -alia feed LPG to 22 LPG Bottling Plants enroute including 8 numbers of IOCL at Ahmedabad, Ujjain, Bhopal, Kanpur, , , Gorakhpur and Varanasi; 8 numbers of BPCL at Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad and Baitalpur; and 6 numbers of HPCL at Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Unnao, Gorakhpur and Varanasi. With this proposed system capacity of the pipeline, more than 58 Crore domestic LPG cylinders can be filled per annum and total length of the LPG Pipeline in the country would be 5869 km. LPG will be injected in this pipeline at Kandla, Pipavav and Dahej import terminals and dispatch stations at Mithi Rohar, Dumad and Bina.

ii) Grant of authorization for Bina-Panki Petroleum & Petroleum Product Pipeline: The Board granted authorization to Lay, Build, Operate or Expand Petroleum Products Pipeline from Bina to Panki to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited with following technical specification: Length of the pipeline : 355 km Diameter : 16”/18” Capacity : 3.45 MMTPA

It will evacuate the petroleum products of Bina Refinery in Madhya Pradesh and cater the needs of . iii) Approval for invitation of Bid on the EoI of Petronet MHB Limited for Devengonthi to Chitradurga Petroleum and Petroleum Product Pipeline: -

Board approved Invitation of bids for 230 km Petroleum and Petroleum Product pipeline from Devengonthi (Bengaluru) to Chitradurga. It will evacuate the petroleum products of , and Mangalore Refineries and cater the needs of Karnataka State.

In the last one year, the Board has authorized 5629 km of natural gas pipeline and another 1220 km natural gas pipelines is under bidding process. Further, around 1400 km natural gas pipeline is planned for bidding. Around 2846 km LPG pipeline and 355 km of Petroleum Product pipeline have been authorized and 620 km of LPG pipeline is under bidding process. Further, 685 km of Petroleum Product pipeline is under consideration of the Board to invite bids.
