2020 Nfl Schedule Announced
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 5/7/20 2020 NFL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED Complete 256-Game Regular-Season Schedule Available on NFL.com The NFL announced today its 17-week, 256-game regular-season schedule for 2020, which kicks off on Thursday night, September 10, in Kansas City and concludes with 16 division games on Sunday, January 3. “The release of the NFL schedule is something our fans eagerly anticipate every year, as they look forward with hope and optimism to the season ahead,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “In preparing to play the season as scheduled, we will continue to make our decisions based on the latest medical and public health advice, in compliance with government regulations, and with appropriate safety protocols to protect the health of our fans, players, club and league personnel, and our communities. We will be prepared to make adjustments as necessary, as we have during this off-season in safely and efficiently conducting key activities such as free agency, the virtual off-season program, and the 2020 NFL Draft.” The NFL’s 101st season begins with the league’s annual primetime kickoff game, as the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs host the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on September 10 (8:20 PM ET, NBC) in a rematch of the AFC Divisional playoffs. Week 1 is a FOX national weekend with key divisional games on Sunday, September 13, featuring the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the New Orleans Saints (4:25 PM ET) and the Arizona Cardinals visiting the San Francisco 49ers (4:25 PM ET). -
Rating the Packers: Week 19 at Cowboys
Rating the Packers: Week 19 at Cowboys By Bob McGinn – Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Posted: Jan 17, 2017 Green Bay - Now owner Jerry Jones and son Stephen, his top personnel man, understand keen disappointment when it comes to playoff football between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers. Three straight times in the 1990s (’93, ’94 and ’95) the Cowboys eliminated the Packers. Now the Cowboys have been ousted by the Packers twice in the last three years. “We have a team and we have players that can win these big games,” Jones said Sunday after the Cowboys fell to the Packers, 34-31, in an NFC divisional game at AT&T Stadium. “As much credit as we’re going to give Green Bay, and we’re giving them their due, we now know we’re capable of taking it all the way, too.” Here is a rating of the Packers against the Cowboys, with their 1 to 5 football totals in parentheses: RECEIVERS ( 4 ½ ) There’s a major reason why the offense sputtered in the Game 5 loss to the Cowboys. Jared Cook was out with an ankle injury. Obviously, Jordy Nelson (ribs) was missed in this game, but probably not to the extent that Cook would have been. Cook (played 51 of the 67 offensive snaps, including 23 with his hand down) is a unique player on this roster. The 36-yard reception to set up the winning field goal would have been difficult for a WR, let alone a TE. His hands, his sideline awareness and his ability to read a coverage coming all the way across the field were just outstanding. -
NFL Draft 2019 Grades: Evaluating the Broncos and Every Other Team’S Picks by Ryan O’Halloran Denver Post April 29, 2019
NFL draft 2019 grades: Evaluating the Broncos and every other team’s picks By Ryan O’Halloran Denver Post April 29, 2019 A team-by-team recap of this weekend’s NFL draft: NFC Arizona Cardinals A — The Cardinals selected immediate starters/contributors with their first five picks: QB Kyler Murray, CB Byron Murphy, WR Andy Isabella, DE Zach Allen and WR Hakeem Butler. With play-caller/coach Kliff Kingsbury, the Cardinals may not be successful, but they’ll be interesting. Atlanta Falcons C-plus — The Falcons ignored cornerback until round 5 (Jordan Miller). First-rounders Chris Lindstrom (No. 14) and Kaleb McGary (No. 31 after a trade-up) will start at right guard and right tackle, respectively. Carolina Panthers B — Liked what the Panthers did early. DE Brian Burns will team with veteran Bruce Irvin to replace Julius Peppers. LT Greg Little will get a chance to beat out 2017 second-round pick Taylor Moton and QB Will Grier could stop the revolving back-up spot. Chicago Bears D — If you factor in the Khalil Mack trade (which costs them a first-round pick), the grade would be different. But the Bears had only five picks (one in the first 125). RB David Montgomery (round 3) will back up Mike Davis. Dallas Cowboys C — No first-round pick because of the Amari Cooper trade. The Cowboys had nine picks, but only two in the top 116. They chose two defensive ends (Joe Jackson and Jalen Jelks) and running backs (Tony Pollard and Mike Weber) apiece. Detroit Lions C-minus— Tough to be fired up about anything the Lions did after tight end T.J. -

Chargers, center Corey Linsley agree to five-year, $62.5M deal. (via @MikeGarafolo + @TomPelissero) pic.twitter.com/rAfPpf7Oh5 — NFL (@NFL) March 15, 2021 Former Green Bay Packers center Cory Linsley, who spent all seven years with the team since being drafted in the fifth round in the 2014 NFL Draft, was announced to be signing with the Los Angeles Chargers. Linsley, who was named as a first-team All-Pro in 2020, signed for five years and $62.5 million, which makes him the highest-paid center in the NFL. In Los Angeles, he will be joining a pair of former Buckeyes in defensive end Joey Bosa and wide receiver K.J. Hill. Bosa, like Linsley, is the highest paid player at his position. Another former Ohio State player in running back Carlos Hyde made the move to Jacksonville, where he will reunite with Urban Meyer for 2 years and $6 million, according to multiple reports. Source: Carlos Hyde to the #Jaguars. 2 years $6 mil. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 15, 2021 Hyde saw limited action in 2020 during his lone season with the Seattle Seahawks, where he rushed 81 times for 356 yards and four touchdowns. The season before that, Hyde broke 1,000 yards for the first time, rushing for 1,070 yards and six scores for the Houston Texans. -
