The MiCIA is the leading voice for 's legal cannabis businesses. The MiCIA advocates for a responsible and successful medical and adult use cannabis industry by promoting sensible laws and regulations and industry best practices among members. Candidates were graded based on their answers to the following questions: 1. Do you support or oppose Michigan voters’ decision to legalize and regulate cannabis for adults 21 and older? 2. Do you support or oppose automatically expunging or erasing prior cannabis convictions, as long as the conviction was non-violent and did not involve minors? 3. What is the most important change that should be made to Michigan’s cannabis laws? 4. Do you support or oppose allowing state-licensed medical cannabis facilities in your district? 5. Do you support or oppose allowing state-licensed recreational cannabis facilities in your district? 6. Do you support or oppose adding social equity reforms to Michigan’s existing laws that would ensure people of color, women and those harmed disproportionately by cannabis prohibition are able to enter into and obtain state licenses in the legal cannabis industry?
