To help members cut through the political propaganda that has been aired, mailed and talked about on the radio, UFCW 951 has compiled a list of National and Statewide Candidates candidates who are truly on the side of workers. Candidates were selected for endorsement based on their positions on the following issues: President and Vice President of the United States Right to Work – The candidate is committed to changing the anti-union right to Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Kamala Harris work law and its policies that favor the employer and force unions to represent free loading non-members. United States Senator 401(k) Protections – The candidate is committed to protecting 401(k) assets Gary Peters and the ability for workers to take their 401(k) assets with them if they leave employment prior to normal retirement age. Supreme Court Health Care – The candidate supports Healthy Michigan Medicaid expansion Bridget Mary McCormack and Elizabeth Welch allowing the citizens of Michigan more access to quality healthcare coverage. Prescription Drugs – The candidate supports lowering costs and making State Board of Education prescription drugs more affordable and accessible to all.
