Salon Privé has always been a unique event within the motoring calendar and 9 years on, it remains so. It is a motor show with a diference and the only event in the UK to focus purely on luxury and premium automotive brands. In spite of its size, many models make their UK debuts at the event, with some making European as well as global debuts. The Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance is a prominent feature of Salon Privé. Blending the old with the new, the event has successfully incorporated a world- class judged classic car competition, alongside the manufacturers’ displays.

Attracting hugely wealthy collectors, owners and enthusiasts from around the world, the 2013 Concours saw over 100 staggeringly rare and valuable motor cars displayed on the lawns for the three days.

For 2014, guests will enjoy the spectacle of dedicated classes for the Ferrari 275 and the Jaguar D-Type; we also have classes for Maserati and Zagato who will be celebrating their 100th and 95th birthdays respectively. Overall there are 9 historic car classes with 75 cars entered and 2 motorcycle classes with 25 bikes entered; it will be, far and away our best Concours to date.

As always we have an impressive line-up of 18 world-class judges including Chief Judge Derek Bell MBE, Design Director of Rolls-Royce, Giles Taylor and Andrea Zagato, to name but a few.

Now in its 9th consecutive year and featuring more international entrants than ever before, Salon Privé is, without doubt, the most established and exclusive Concours d’Elégance in the UK, with its ‘Best of Show’ trophy being the most coveted accolade of its kind on our shores.

Another new feature introduced in 2013, the Concepts & Prototypes Display is also an invitation- only opportunity.

Normally presented behind secure barriers at international Autosalons, this new display feature, which has become a fully integrated class in the Chubb Insurance Concours d’Elégance, featured no less than two European debuts, both lown in from their North American debuts at Pebble Beach. These were the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder from the Netherlands and the Icona Vulcano from Italy.

Art and motoring go hand-in-hand and this year’s EFG Art & Luxury Fair presents a wonderful selection of original sketches and paintings by some of the most coveted international automotive artists.

Original prints and posters as well as memorabilia are ofered for sale and guests were able to observe some of the artists in action as they create bespoke pieces during the event, right before their very eyes!

Elsewhere within the event, art is further celebrated with the Royal College of Art ‘Concours of the Future’ Exhibition. A now permanent feature within Salon Privé, the Exhibition presents sensational designs from 10 selected students from the College who chose their favourite classic car as the basis for their work.

All of them are stars of the future, with the 2013 winner being Francesco Binaggia, with his stunning interpretation of the fabulous Nardi Bisiluro. 15 “Everyone loved the event with so many stunning sights and sounds, you can see it’s bigger and better this year!” Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity

Salon Privé is extremely committed to charitable causes and has raised over £670,000 for varying charities over the years. This year, once again, we are delighted to be supporting Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, a charity very dear to our heart, which looks after the forgotten heroes such as the siblings themselves of those afected by traumatic illnesses in the family.

Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity provides practical and emotional support to families when their child has a life threatening or terminal illness. Their support lasts from diagnosis through treatment to bereavement, or recovery and beyond. Immediate help is on hand through eight teams of Family Support Workers operating from bases across the country. Rainbow Trust’s Family Support Workers join the family in their own home and are there to provide whatever practical support is needed. They may attend hospital appointments with parents, sit by the bedside of the sick child to give parents a break or take worried siblings out for the day.

The Boodles Ladies’ Day at Salon Privé has become a very irm ixture on the social calendar. As with every other day, it’s relaxed and un-crowded but there is deinitely a sense of friendly competition in the air on Thursday as ladies arrive in beautiful, often lamboyant hats and equally stunning dresses, each hoping to be crowned Boodles Best Dressed Lady, with the winner going home with a stunning piece of Boodles jewellery.

It’s a vibrant day full of colour and excitement which sees the inal selection of ladies escorted to one of the awaiting classic cars and driven around the event before returning to the Boodles marquee and awaiting the inal decision.

Friday is the day when the previously gentile Supercar Lawn breaks into thunderous life as each one of the Supercars, Luxury Cars and Hypercars parade of the lawn for inal presentation before the show reaches its climax.

It is as glamorous as it is exciting and intoxicating – a catwalk for Supercars and a rare chance to see and hear the very best that the automotive world has to ofer in motion.

The red carpet announcements and presentations of People’s Choice awards, following Afternoon Tea, mark a itting and spectacular end to a magniicent event.

Quite simply, it ofers private outdoor dining at its very best and is the perfect opportunity to entertain clients, customers and colleagues in the most luxurious of surroundings. Morning cofee, Lobster Luncheon, Pommery Champagne, English Afternoon Tea and drinks will be delivered to your marquee and served as a bufet by your very own Salon Privé hostess.

Luncheon is presented within the marquee and hostesses are on hand to serve Pommery Champagne and drinks and look after your guests.

35 Outdoor Dining The Great Conservatory

The Great Conservatory was built in 1826 and today sits within its own private walled garden complete with ornamental fountain and beautifully manicured lawns designed by Capability Brown (Kew Gardens, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle). It is a breath-taking structure that ofers great lexibility for daytime or evening entertaining.

The Great Conservatory is an extremely lexible private venue ofering an array of opportunities for both corporate as well as personal functions, for example a stylish drinks party for up to 200 guests or a sit down dinner for up to 150 guests.

Alternatively, it can be used, to host bespoke Private Member’s Club Events with cars displayed on the gravel walkways leading up to the building and luncheon served either inside or outside depending on the client’s requirements.

36 Indoor Dining The Duke Of Northumberland’s Private Dining Room & The Green Drawing Room

To this day, The Duke entertains family and friends in his Private Dining Room and much of the furniture in here, including the mahogany extending table and the dining chairs, date back to the early 19th century, with some dating back to 1770. As with a lot of the rooms at Syon House, the room was remodelled by Robert Adams and spectacular 17th and 18th century paintings adorn the walls.

This is private dining at its most prestigious and is the crème de la crème of our hospitality ofering. The Private Dining Room is not normally available at Syon but is kindly ofered to us by The Duke of Northumberland.

On arrival, guests meet in The Green Drawing Room for a Pommery Champagne Reception before being shown into the adjoining Private Dining Room. Our catering partners, Absolute Taste, collaborate with many renowned and famous chefs, who they can approach on your behalf, to create a fabulous menu to suit all occasions.

One of Robert Adams more grand designs with its arched recesses, half-domes and columns and spectacular ceiling plaster, the State Dining Room is a wonderfully light and airy room that overlooks the lawns on which the Concours d’Elégance is located, accessed via The Red Drawing Room.

The State Dining Room ofers individual tables of 10, although single groups of between 50 – 80 can be accommodated subject to availability.
