Vierumäki Times Launching a new career VIERUMÄKI – It was rather unplanned when Konstantin Simchuk put his gear on during the Ukrainian playoffs this past spring. He had already ended his goalie career one year earlier and was preparing for his post-playing days. IIHF.com met him at the Vierumäki camp. Simchuk, who played at the highest level at various World Championships, the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City, in the top Russian league and in the ‘90s also in the IHL that was at the same level as today’s AHL, finished his career with his hometown team Sokil Kyiv after the 2011/2012 season. In 2012/2013 he worked for the same club as a sport director. “But then two goalies were injured, we didn’t want to put the juniors into the fire during the playoffs, so I put the gear on and played three games,” Simchuk said. CAROLINA HURRICANES NEWS CLIPPINGS • June 24, 2021 NHL Mock Draft 2021: From the Sabres through the Cup winner, Corey Pronman picks the entire first round By Corey Pronman The message out of Columbus is they need centers but once Seth Jones is dealt they will need centers and defensemen. We’re a month from Buffalo being on the clock so it’s time to Edvinsson, Hughes and McTavish are the names people start discussing how I think the first round of the 2021 NHL around the league think could be the pick at No. 5 with Draft will actually go. This mock will be 31 picks deep and Edvinsson being the one I’ve heard mentioned the most. there will be a longer one closer to the draft date. 6. Detroit Red Wings: Mason McTavish, C, Peterborough- This mock is less “intel” based, given a lot of teams haven’t OHL had meetings yet to put together their lists. The mock will discuss certain picks and how they blend with that specific McTavish is the name I’ve heard the most with Detroit early team, but readers should also use this exercise to get an in the mock draft season but team sources have also said idea of roughly what players I think will go at what range, and they think goalie Jesper Wallstedt or Michigan forward Kent what options their team could be looking at. This is not my Johnson could be the pick here too. An interesting thing with opinion of the players in the draft class. Those along with full this pick is both Johnson and William Eklund face questions reports can be found here.

The research explores whether integration governs agency problems and tilts the incentives of diverse actors toward more systematic outcomes. Design/methodology/approach – A two stage multimethod case study of occupational health services. A qualitative stage aimed to understand the reasons, mechanisms, and outcomes of payor–provider integration. A quantitative stage evaluated the performance of the integrated hospital against fee-for-service partner hospitals with a sample of 2,726 patients. Findings – Payor–provider integration mitigates agency problems on multiple levels of the service system by complementing formal governance mechanisms with informal mechanisms. Compared to partner hospitals, the integrated hospital yielded 9% lower the total costs of occupational injuries achieved primarily by emphasizing conservative care and faster recovery. Research limitations/implications – Focuses on occupational health services in Finland. Provides initial evidence of the effects of payor–provider integration on the operational performance. Practical implications – Vertical integration may provide systematic outcomes but requires mindful implementation of multiple mechanisms.

Postgame Notes & Quotes Los Angeles Kings 7, Colorado Avalanche 1 Thursday, March 22, 2018 Anze Kopitar registered four goals for the first time in his career, matching the Kings record for most goals in a game last reached by Luc Robitaille on Nov. 25, 1993 at Quebec. Kopitar recorded his fourth career hat trick and first since Feb. 12, 2016 at New York Rangers. Nathan MacKinnon extended his point streak to a career-long 14 games, the longest active streak in the NHL and third-longest this season behind Taylor Hall (19) and Patrik Laine (15). It’s the longest point streak by an Avalanche player since Paul Stastny’s 20-game run in 2006-07. Mikko Rantanen extended his point streak to eight games, matching his career-long streak set earlier this year (Dec. 12-29). He also became the fourth Finnish player to register 80 points in a season (Jari Kurri, Teemu Selanne, Olli Jokinen) and the fifth Finnish-born player to reach the mark (Tomas Sandstrom was born in Finland but represented Sweden in international competition). MacKinnon (9g, 12a) and Rantanten (7g, 14a) each have 21 points this month, tied for the league lead in scoring in March. Nikita Zadorov recorded a career high 15 hits, an Avalanche record and the most by any NHL player in a single game since 2005-06. The Avalanche was 1-for-2 on the penalty kill, just the ninth time Colorado has surrendered a power-play goal at home in 2017-18. The Avs are 107-for-116 (92.2%) on the penalty kill on home ice, the top-ranked PK unit in the league.

  • The Nature of Lucian's Revision of the Text Of
THE NATURE OF LUCIAN’S REVISION OF THE TEXT OF GREEK JOB Claude E. Cox It is an honour to offer this study to our friend Raija Sollamo. We have been together at several IOSCS meetings, where Canadian schol- ars always feel a special affinity towards our Finnish colleagues who specialize in the Septuagint: Ilmari Soisalon-Soininen, Anneli, Raija, Seppo, and Anssi. We feel this affinity because Finland and Canada are both northern countries—we know what winter really is like!—and we are relatively small in terms of population. Though Canada is a very large country, our population is not large compared to our southern neighbours, the United States and Mexico, much like Finland in rela- tion to Europe to the south and Russia to the east. Finally, Canadians and Finns share a love of hockey and when we meet at international competitions it is with a mutual love of the game; further, some of our favourite NHL players are Finnish in origin: Teemu Selänne, Jari Kurri, Miikka Kiprusoff, Saku Koivu, and Esa Tikkanen, to name a few. The purpose of this study is at least two-fold: first, to demonstrate that the text that Lucian worked on for the book of Iob was a Hexaplaric text; second, to show that the Lucianic revision of Iob is in keeping with Lucian’s work that we know from elsewhere. So the task to be undertaken is simple, even if the subject of Lucian and his revision of the Greek Bible is highly complex. Lucian and Lucianic Iob The single most informative introduction to the work of Lucian is that of Natalio Fernández Marcos.1 It begins with a few remarks about Lucian and relates that he was probably born in Samosata, Syria, about 250 c.e., studied in Edessa and Caesarea, eventually founded 1 The Septuagint in Context: Introduction to the Greek Versions of the Bible (tr.
