MATTHEWS ABOUT MATTHEWS

MATTHEWS is a feature-length documentary revealing the incredible untold story of Sir Stanley Matthews, considered by many sports historians to be the greatest football player of the 20th century.

In order to tell the definitive story of Stanley Matthews’ life on and off the pitch, the filmmakers received exclusive and unlimited access to the Matthews’ family archives - including rare photographs and rarely seen archival footage.

Although an icon in England, few people know just how incredible Stanley Matthews’ life and career were. He was the first ever winner of the prestigious Ballon d’Or Award, the first footballer to be knighted, and the only footballer in history to play professionally for over thirty-five years.

EUXmedia Studios and Seven Media Productions partnered to craft this long-awaited documentary featuring footage captured in the UK, South Africa and the US.
