The dedication would serve as a tribute to two distinguished BCHS alumni who went on to have hall of fame careers in their respective sports. Kenny Harrison At Brookfield Central ● 1983 graduate of BC - competed in football, basketball & track ● 1983 record of 52’ 4.5” is still ranked #2 in the nation and #1 in Wisconsin ● Holds school records in Triple Jump (52’4.5), Long Jump (23’4”), and High Jump (6’7”) Kenny Harrison At ● 3 NCAA Championship individual titles, 11 time NCAA All-American ● 8-time individual champion in both indoor and outdoor ● Holds school records in indoor long jump (26’ 9.75”), and outdoor long jump and triple jump (26’ 11.5” and 56” respectively) After College ● 1991 World Triple Jump Champion ● 1996 Summer Olympics - won gold medal with an American and Olympic record of 59’4” ● Third best triple jumper in history ● USATF Hall of Fame 2013 ● BCHS Hall of Fame Joe Thomas At Brookfield Central ● 2003 graduate of BC - competed in football, basketball and track ● Football - AP 2nd team all-state OL, 1st team all-state DE ● Track - holds school records in shot put (64’ 10.5”), and discus (185’6”)
