Saturday’s game, Nov. 20 at Oct. 9 SAN JOSE STATE W, 21-6 4:00 p.m. PST, will take place at in Pullman and will air live on ABC-TV to a regional audience Oct. 16 OREGON STATE L, 29-14 (see page two for more on TV coverage). Prior to the institution of the Apple Cup trophy, the winner of the Washington-WSU game was Team Pac-10 Overall awarded the Governor’s Trophy from 1934 to 1961. Washington holds a commanding 63-27-6 edge in the 96- 1. USC 7-0 10-0 game series, including a 31-10 record in Apple Cup games. The UW is 14-11-1 in games played in Pullman 2. California 6-1 8-1 and 7-4-0 in games at Martin Stadium. Washington also holds a 13-3-0 mark in Spokane, where the Cougars 3. Arizona State 5-2 8-2 hosted many of their home Apple Cups in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The Huskies have won the last six Apple 4. The Huskies have faced Washington State 96 times, Oregon in 96 games and Oregon State on 89 occasions. Washington owns the advantage in all three series.
