Hobo Johnson Releases New Song and Video for “Typical Story” on Reprise Records / Warner Records HOBO JOHNSON RELEASES NEW SONG AND VIDEO FOR “TYPICAL STORY” ON REPRISE RECORDS / WARNER RECORDS WATCH HERE ANNOUNCES THE FALL TOUR OF HOBO JOHNSON KICKING OFF OCTOBER 9TH IN SEATTLE, WA - TICKETS ON SALE JUNE 28 June 21, 2019 (Los Angeles, CA) - Following an electrifying performance at last weekend's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee, Sacramento artist Hobo Johnson has released an explosive new song and video for “Typical Story” on Reprise Records / Warner Records. The visual is set in a mansion where Hobo and The Lovemakers, manic partygoers and a motley crew of characters in various costumes bring to life Hobo’s absurdist vision of a house party. The visual displays his remarkable ability to harness lightning in a bottle and is a harbinger for more to come. "'Typical Story' is one of the songs on the album that came together pretty quickly," said Hobo. "I think people will see it as an evolution. I’m really proud of it. If I had to describe what it sounds like to me, it’s like if you took the cream that rises to the top and then let that cream sit and rise to the top and separated it again and then let that cream rise to the top and you scooped up that goodness...it sounds a bit like that final layer of cream once you turn it all the way up.” When speaking on the video, Hobo described it as, "my somewhat surrealist view of a Los Angeles pool party, which I have never got invited to." "Typical Story" arrives with the announcement of The Fall Tour of Hobo Johnson starting on October 9th in Seattle, WA and capping off with a hometown show in Sacramento on November 29th (full dates below). Tickets are available June 28th at 10am at www.hobojohnson.com. The song also marks the first music from Hobo since his self-released 2017 debut album The Rise of Hobo Johnson. Since then, he has toured all over the world with his band The Lovemakers, playing sold-out shows and festivals, including Outside Lands, Riot Fest, Made In America, Bumbershoot, Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival and Australia's The Falls Music & Arts Festival and Field Day Festival. The half Azorean Portuguese, quarter Mexican and Native American vocalist built a grassroots following via viral homegrown style videos showcasing his singularity; an amalgamation of spoken word poetry, punk, folk and rap backed by his band The Lovemakers. Hobo’s momentum reached a tipping point after gaining feverish interest through his entry in NPR’s "Tiny Desk" Contest, which went viral(25 million streams to date) despite not winning. Bursting with unadulterated sincerity, his genre- defying sound feels akin to musical anomalies of the past and future. 2017 saw Hobo Johnson's self-released debut album The Rise of Hobo Johnson, selling out shows everywhere and amassing over 65 million cumulative U.S. streams. Abstract This paper discusses the emergence and growth of various media industries in Britain. It shows how a rise in real wages and leisure time, rapid urbanisation and the development of fast urban transport networks, and a rapid growth of the market’s size let to a sharp rise in the demand for media and entertainment products and services, which was met by ever-new technologies coming from constantly emerging new industries, such as recorded music, film, radio, television, cable, videogames, internet, and social media. The paper argued these industries contributed to a sharp productivity rise by industrialising traditional media and entertainment, and to a sharp welfare growth as consumers valued them so highly that they were willing to incur ever-higher opportunity costs to consume them. It also discusses how four factorsquality races, marginal revenues equalling marginal profits, the superstar effect and agglomeration benefitsshaped the evolution of individual industries, and it assesses the success or failure of British industrial policy towards media industries.

  • Tampa Bay Legend Tae Bae Drops Simmering Warner Records Debut Single “K.A.T.” Listen Here
TAMPA BAY LEGEND TAE BAE DROPS SIMMERING WARNER RECORDS DEBUT SINGLE “K.A.T.” LISTEN HERE WATCH THE SEXY VIDEO FOR “K.A.T.” HERE April 16, 2021 (Los Angeles, CA) – Today, slick-talking rapper Tae Bae releases his simmering debut single “K.A.T.” on Warner Records. The Tampa Bay legend’s first track of 2021 offers a breezy new sound from a rapper who’s endured as a key figure in Florida music history over the last decade. It marks an exciting new chapter in his career, one that will wake the rest of the world up to his talents. “K.A.T.” is built around a blissful, bouncy instrumental that Tae Bae rides with the emphatic, punctuated flow that’s become a staple of Florida rap. It’s hedonistic, luxurious club music, full of gleeful boasts, playful come-ons, and sly barbs aimed at his critics. “It always be a broke b***h with a lot to say,” he sighs. As the world emerges from solitude into the warmth of summer, Tae Bae has dropped an anthem for the season’s impending debauchery. “K.A.T.” follows a progressive streak for Tae Bae. Last year, his head-spinning single “Ova East” was named one of VICE’s Best Songs of 2020, and the homegrown video garnered even more attention. Before that, he dropped the bouncy “3 Bags” and the reflective club cut “Dusse’” with label-mate Wale. The strength—and continued acclaim—of these singles is indicative of Tae Bae’s staying power and innate talent. He’s spent the last year and change re-acclimating to the limelight after serving time in prison.

  • Sofia Reyes- Biography
Sofia Reyes- Biography At just 23-years-old, Sofia Reyes is a successful singer and songwriter who has already been nominated twice to the Latin American Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, Premios Juventud and Latin GRAMMYs among many other. Most of her hits like "Muévelo", "Sólo yo" and "1,2,3", have occupied the first places of the Billboard charts and her latest single (which featured Jason Derulo and De La Ghetto) has nearly half a billion views on YouTube and certifications around the world. Born in Monterrey, Mexico, at age 16, she decided to move to Los Angeles with her independent label, Bakab, and start her solo career after leaving the girl band where she started. Sofia shared her original music and covers through YouTube and the popularity of these videos caught the attention of Warner Music Latina, which in partnership with D'Leon Records (Prince Royce’s record label) and Bakab, would boost her career. Sofia’s first single, "Muévelo"- alongside Wisin- automatically charted at Billboard's Top 20 Latin Pop Songs, where it stayed for 5 months. The song also entered Spotify’s Global 200 Chart, along with artists such as Ed Sheeran and Meghan Trainor, being Sofia the only Mexican on that list. Sofia recorded the track "Sólo yo" with Prince Royce in 2016, a song that led her to become the first female singer in five years to reach the first position in Billboard’s Latin Pop chart (2016), after Jennifer Lopez. She also received platinum and gold certifications in markets such as Spain, Argentina and Mexico due to its high sales.
