Dinamo will finish fourth. • On matchday two in Croatia – the first meeting between the teams – Juve cruised to a 4-0 win, scoring twice in each half. It equalled their biggest away win in the UEFA Champions League. Match background Juventus • The Italian champions began the campaign with a 0-0 draw at home to Sevilla and in the double header with Lyon they first won 1-0 away before being pegged back late on at home in a 1-1 draw. • The Bianconeri are on a 19-match (W10 D9) unbeaten home run in UEFA competition, dating back to a 2-0 loss to FC Bayern München in April 2013. In last season's group stage they did not concede a goal at home, beating Sevilla 2-0 and Manchester City FC 1-0 and drawing 0-0 with VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach. • In the round of 16 the two-time European champions drew 2-2 at home to Bayern, succumbing 4-2 away in extra time. • Juve have faced Croatian opponents on only one other occasion, beating HNK Rijeka 2-0 at home in the 1979/80 European Cup Winners' Cup quarter-final after a 0-0 draw away. Dinamo • The Croatian title holders started with a 3-0 defeat in Lyon and in the double-header against Sevilla they first lost 1-0 at home and then 4-0 away. • Dinamo lost all three away games in last season's group stage, conceding ten goals and scoring only one. They also finished bottom of Group F with three points, thanks to a 2-1 win over Arsenal FC on matchday one. It ended a 16- year wait for a victory in the competition proper. • The Croatian double winners have now failed to qualify from the group stage in all six attempts. In fact, in all 13 UEFA club competition group stages – including seven in the UEFA Cup and UEFA Europa League – they have yet to make it through to the next phase. • Away form underpinned Dinamo's progress through this season's qualifying rounds. They prevailed 2-1 at FK Vardar in the second qualifying round (5-3 on aggregate) and 1-0 at FC Dinamo Tbilisi in the next stage (3-0 on aggregate). • After a 1-1 draw at home to FC Salzburg in the play-offs they trailed in Austria until the 87th minute, when Junior Fernandes forced extra time. El Arabi Hilal Soudani's strike then completed the victory. • This is the first time Dinamo have faced Italian opponents at home since the 2000/01 UEFA Cup second round when they beat Parma FC 1-0, going out 2-1 on aggregate. All three victories against Italian sides have come in Zagreb; their overall record is P18 W3 D4 L11 (Away W0 D2 L7). Coach and player links • Marko Pjaca signed for the Turin club on 21 July after helping Dinamo reach the group stage, scoring two penalties in the 3-2 second qualifying round victory over Vardar. • Pjaca played for NK Lokomotiva Zagreb between 2011 and 2014 where he was a team-mate of Mario Musa, Mario Šitum, Domagoj Antolić, Josip Pivarić and Domagoj Pavičić. • Mario Mandžukić was a Dinamo played from 2007 to 2010, winning the Croatian title three times.
