Berrow Dunes Nature Reserve offers pleasant walks. Burnham-on-Sea is a busy seaside resort, but also has places of interest for art and nature-lovers. The Sea Breeze Gallery and shop shows local arsts’ work, and Apex Park, which runs along the River Brue to Highbridge, offers good walks and is a haven for birds. Brent Knoll has seen human selement since the Bronze Age. Brent Knoll Camp is an Iron Age hill fort, with mulple ramparts following the contours of the hill, broken only by the main entrance on the eastern side. Brean Down, jung into the Bristol Channel, has been a useful defensive posion through history. It was also an Iron Age hill fort, and the remains of a Napoleonic fort can be found at the western end.
