MKTG-17 MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VALLEY ON ESPN3 2016-17 PROGRAMMING PRIORITIES • Produce exclusive live coverage from the men’s/women’s basketball media day in St. Louis • Manage production of all 90 league men’s and women’s basketball games for distribution via linear and/or digital television platforms • Deliver behind-the-scenes, exclusive men’s basketball content -- to be known moving forward as “MV See” -- to be distributed and promoted through various ESPN personalized platforms and ESPN3 • Coordinate live-event production of regular-season women’s and men’s volleyball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball and baseball • Produce exclusive live events from seven postseason championships. COMMITMENT TO COMPREHENSIVE MARKETING/BRANDING/PUBLIC RELATIONS PLAN • Development of in-game scripting for use in institutional/league productions or institutional home event run of shows through public address/video board to promote upcoming school live events on ESPN3 or to cross-promote upcoming MVC telecasts on other ESPN platforms (ie. Netflex games on ESPN3/ESPNU) • Development of Conference-produced 30-second promotional radio and video spots for websites and video board to promote The Valley on ESPN3 • Development of courtside LED and print creative that can be sent to schools to promote upcoming institutional/Conference productions or to cross-promote upcoming MVC telecasts on other ESPN platforms • Utilize advertising (ie. institutional print/online agreements) as well as all social media vehicles to promote upcoming school/Conference productions • Roll out of in-game scripting/creative for use in the promotion of women’s and men’s soccer and volleyball will begin Friday, August 12. • Roll out of in-game scripting/creative for use in the promotion of women’s and men’s basketball will begin Friday, September 30. • Roll out of in-game scripting/creative for use in the promotion of softball and baseball will begin Friday, January 27.

STAFFING PLAN FOR THE VALLEY ON ESPN3 • Associate Commissioner for Marketing/Television would coordinate production schedules for institutions and the Conference-produced regular-season and postseason packages • Associate Commissioner for Marketing/Television would work with schools to develop and deliver to ESPN exclusive men’s basketball content for “MV See” • New Assistant Commissioner for Marketing/Television would work with league staff and institutions to implement the marketing/promotional plan for The Valley on ESPN3
