PAUL AIMSON KENNY ALLEN Experienced striker Paul Aimson briefly partnered Phil Boyer in AFC Bournemouth’s attack. He was reunited with Boyer at Dean Court for £12,000 in March 1973 in a vain bid to boost fading promotion hopes and scored two goals in nine Third Division games for Cherries. A knee injury ended his playing career soon after moving to Colchester United for £8,000 in August 1973. Now living in Christchurch, he was a sales rep for Anglo-Dutch Cigars, then spent 13 years as a physical recreation officer for Dorset probation service until retiring on medical advice in January 1995.
