THIS IS TO CERTIFY that the Daly Reduction Company, Limited,

was duly kncorporated under the "Companies' Act, ez,V ; , CP-$$ t 1897",4 on the -*Or day of :'arch, 1903, and Jobs- on the same day /rad dere*,/k granted a Certificate that it had complied with the "Tower Com-

panies' Relief Act, 1902", and—s in the same position as if it

had been specially incorporated as required by Tart IV of the

"'Tater Clauses Consolidation Act, 1597", HAS SUBEITTED its un-

dertaking to the Lieutenant-Governor-in-Council for approval,

that the said undertaking, as shewn by the documents and plans filed, has been approved, and that the said undertaking is as

follows:-

of the Chu-Chu-"'ay-Ha Indian Reserve crosses 20411e

(2) The construction of a along the easterly side

533 feet north of the southerly boundary of the

the southerly end of the said flume, for the pur-

poses of discharging the water carried by the said

flume into 20-Mile creek:

(4) The construction of a tramway to be operated partly

by electricity and partly as a Gravity tramway,.from

the "Nickel Tlate" rine to a point on the "rafeking" rineral Claim, which shall be most suitable for opera-

tion in connection with.the reduction works herein- /1

The urCersigned has the honour to report for the consider-

ation of the Council the following:

that the "DALY REDUCTION

OSJPANY, hItlITED", incoriorated under the "Corm zanies Act, 1897",

as a imited Company on the seventh ',iay of t!arch, 1903, and

which has complied with the irovisions if the 'Power Companies

Relief Act, 1902", and is in the same position as if it had

seen specially incorporated as required sly 'art Pi if the

under section 85 of the last mentioned Act for a Certificate

to enaol, them to proceed kith their proposed undert ing,

and that the Company has filed with the Clerk of the Executive

Council the documents required oy the said section-

That these documents show that the Company proposes to exercise its corporate powers in rosilect of the work for

which a Certificate is now ,,ting apilied for within the limits

of the Osoyoos ilining Division of the Boumlary District in the

from a point at the southerly end of the flume for the purpose

of discharging the water carried therein into Twenty mile

The object of the construction of these works being

to deal with the ores in the N Nickle Plate" nine.

The Company further iropJse. topurchase a certain aforesaid portion of thenIndian P.oserve for the purpose, in due ,course, of erecting a &leiter and the necessary works connected there-

with, to acquire certain mineral olains m,,ntioned in their application and to purchase racords of water representing e

THIS IS TO CERTIFY that "The Daly Reduction Company, Limited," which was duly incorporated under the "Companies Act, 1897," as a Limited Company, on the seventh day of March, 1903, and on the same day was granted a Certificate that it had complied with the "Power Companies' Relief Act, 1902," and is in the same position as if it had been specially incorporated as required by Part IV. of the " Water Clauses Consolidation Act, 1897," has submitted its undertaking to the Lieutenant-Governor in Council for approval, that the said undertaking, as shown by the documents and plans filed, has been approved, and that the said undertaking is as follows: (1.) The construction of a dam across 20-Mile Creek, at or about the point where the most northerly boundary of the Chu-Chu-Way-Ha Indian Reserve crosses 20-Mile Creek, as shewn on the plan accompany- ing the application and marked "A": (2.) The construction of a flume along the easterly side of 20-Mile Creek from the said dam to a point about 500 feet north of the southerly boundary of the "Mafeking" Mineral Claim, and on or near the easterly boundary of the "Mafeking" Mineral Claim: (3.) The construction of a pipe line from a point at the southerly end of the said flume, for the pur- poses of discharging the water earned by the said flume into 20-Mile Creek: (4.) The construction of a tramway, to be operated partly by electricity and partly as a gravity tramway, from the "Nickel Plate" Mine to a point on the "Mafeking" Mineral Claim which shall be most suitable for operation in connection with the reduction works hereinafter mentioned: (5.) The erection of a Stamp Mill and Reduction Works on the said "Mafeking" Mineral Claim near 20-Mile Creek: (6.) The development, by such machinery and means as the Company shall from time to time deem necessary or convenient, of power from about one thousand (1,000) inches of water, the records of which now stand in the name of M. R. Rodgers, and are set forth in the documents filed with the application, and which records the Company intends to acquire for the operation of the Company's works, and for supplying power for the operation of the "Nickel Plate" Mine and other mines within the limits of the Osoyoos Mining Division of the Boundary District, in the Province of British Columbia, that is to say:—Commencing at the extreme north corner of Lake; thence proceedingiclue east five hundred chains, more or less; thence due south, intersecting Clear Lake, six hundred chains, more or less; thence due west, intersecting the Similkameen , five hundred chains, more or less; thence duo north, intersecting the Siniilkameen River, six hundred chains, more or less, to the point of commencement. The Company further proposes to purchase a certain portion of the aforesaid Indian Reserve for the purpose, in duo course, of erecting thereon a Smelter and the necessary works connected therewith; to acquire certain mineral claims mentioned in their application; and the right to construct and operate its tramway through the mineral claims known as the "War Eagle" and "Mayflower," and for the operation of any other smelting, refining or reduction works that may be erected within the said area: Provided that with respect to the said water records the Company shall be subject to the scale of fees established for power companies under the "Water Clauses Consolidation Act, 1897." And this is further to certify that the amount of capital of the Company which shall be actually subscribed before the Company commences the construction of its undertaking shall be two hundred thou- sand dollars (3200,000). And this is further to certify that the time within which the said undertaking and works are to be commenced is fixed at thirty (30) days from the date of this Certificate, and the date by which such works are to be in operation is fixed at one year from the date of this Certificate.
