Aigle Azur strengthens its service from Moscow and expands its codeshare presence in Russia with S7

Aigle Azur, the second-largest French , is continuing its growth in by strengthening its presence in Russia. A year after the launch of its Paris- Orly<>Moscow-Domodedovo route, Aigle Azur announces the addition of 2 new flights for winter 2018–19. Served, until recently, by 2 flights per week, the Russian capital will now be accessible 4 times per week.

The 3rd weekly flight will operate from 26 December 2018, and a 4th flight will be added from 4 March 2019.

These flights to Russia are operated in A320 aeroplanes with two classes available: 12 business-class seats and 168 economy class seats. In business class, we exclusively offer our passengers champagne, fine wines and comfort packages to make for a pleasant trip. In economy class, passengers will have the option to purchase a wide selection of additional services to make their trip more pleasant. These include choosing your seat, travelling with or without baggage, the “Buy On Board” option, and the opportunity to book a rental car, taxi and/or hotel with Aigle Azur’s partners.

Codeshare agreement and network expansion in Russia

Since August 2018, Aigle Azur has been operating codeshare flights between Paris and Moscow with (Siberia Airlines). With its large network of domestic destinations flying from Moscow, the Russian airline guarantees Aigle Azur’s passengers interesting connections, particularly to Saint Petersburg. 9 destinations will soon be added to this .

For more than a year and spurred on by its CEO, Frantz Yvelin, Aigle Azur has been implementing a strategy to expand its network, supported by its partners Azul and , and also through its codeshare agreements. In addition to its agreement regarding service to Russia with S7 Airlines, Aigle Azur is also working closely with Air Caraïbes, a French airline that specialises in flights to the Caribbean; Corsair, which allows the airline to provide 5 weekly flights between Paris and ; and also TAP Air Portugal, the main airline in Portugal with flight services to Lisbon.
