Dear Mr. Schwab,

On behalf of the Secretary-General, I would like to thank you for your letter of 26 May, inviting him to attend the Annual Meeting of 2005, to take place from 26 to 30 January in Davos.

I am pleased to inform you that the Secretary-General has now confirmed that he will attend the Forum on 26 and 27 January. As discussed when you met with him last, this could be a very good opportunity for the Secretary-General to discuss the outcome of the High-Level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change.

I look forward to working closely with you in shaping the Secretary-General's programme in Davos.

Yours sincerely,
