This list is not a complete listing of all merchants in Canada who have the applicable merchant codes. in addition, merchants may acquire these merchant codes and may be removed from these merchant codes from time to time without notice. Even though some big box retailers, department stores, variety stores and convenience stores also sell gas and/or groceries and/or drug store items, purchases made at these locations may not qualify for 2% cash back. Grocery stores and supermarkets, service stations, automated fuel dispensers and drug stores & pharmacies have unique merchant codes and earning 2% cash back is based on these codes. Scotiabank cannot guarantee that any business operating, in whole or in part, as a gas station, grocery store or drug store will use these merchant codes. In addition, sometimes there are separate merchants located on the premises of merchants with the applicable codes but are classified by Visa in another manner, in which case the 2% cash back will not apply. Scotiabank does not endorse any of the merchants listed or their products/services and the merchants listed do not endorse Scotiabank or its products/services.
