Preview of Champions Marching Contest

Performance Itinerary – Arlington Heights HS Band PERFORMANCE DATE: Saturday, September 30

VENUE: Vernon Newsom Stadium, 3700 E Broad St, Mansfield, TX 7606

EQUIPMENT: Everything needed for performance

About $20 for lunch at Cici’s Pizza and dinner at concession stands

UNIFORMS: Full Uniform: Winds and Percussion: Jacket, Bibbers, Shako, Gloves, Gauntlets, Marching Shoes. Under the uniform: Show T- shirt, Gym Shorts, BLACK calf-length socks

Colorguard: Tunic, Uniform Pants, Pendant, Guard shoes

AFTER PERFORMACE: Everyone will change out of uniforms and into gym shorts and show shirt with either their marching shoes or tennis shoes. Winds and percussion will change on the bus (clothes should already be on under the uniform), colorguard will change in the restrooms of the stadium.

Time Event 7:30am Call Time – In ranks in full uniform for inspection 7:45am Board Buses by tennis courts 8:00am Depart for Newsom Stadium 8:45am Arrive at Newsom Stadium, check-in, and unload 9:30am Warm-up in location B Parents not assisting with equipment enter the stadium and reserve a block of

seats for the band

10:00am Move to field 10:05am Enter the Field 10:15am PERFORM 10:25am Exit the field, side 2 10:30am Meet at buses for debriefing 10:35am Change into Show Shirt and gym shorts (Hang the uniform appropriately) 10:50am Line up by the buses to enter the stadium 10:55am Enter the stands reserved by the parents Watch at least 2 bands 12:00pm Students may visit vendors and booths. Do not enter or leave the stands while a band is on the field performing! 1:00pm Class A Awards Announced 1:30pm Exit the stands and head to buses for lunch break 2:00pm Arrive at Cici’s Pizza for late lunch 960 N Walnut Creek Dr #100, Mansfield, TX 76063 3:00pm Board Busses and return to Newsom Stadium for the remainder of the contest. See the attached order of performances. Dinner is on your own at concessions. 6:00pm UTA Marching Band Exhibition 6:20pm Prelim results 6:30pm Pending results – If we advance, we will return to buses to change back into uniforms and warm-up for the finals (see the attached order of performances).
