Escherâ´S Enigma •• from Me to There | Skope Entertainment Escher´s Enigma – From Me To There | Skope Entertainment Inc 3/11/2015 Diverse Music Media For The Digital Age HOME FEATURES NEWS REVIEWS BLOG SKOPED OUT MARKETPLACE ABOUT SKOPE Escher´s Enigma – From Me To There Search & Hit Enter Sign up for our Email Newsletter GO Not so much in music but in movies there has been for a while this kind of curse where sequels usually are Archives doomed to failure, though a few films find the way to break away (take the The Godfather II as an example), March 2015 they happen to be better than the original. Well, the February 2015 same happens with father and son duo Escher´s January 2015 Enigma new record and a follow up his EP From Me To December 2014 November 2014 There. The band has been making music for 40+ years October 2014 in the scene and while they might not be masters in September 2014 their craft, they definitely have learned some things August 2014 along the way. July 2014 June 2014 For a Moment not only has a better quality than its predecessor but it showcase different and May 2014 new sides of the band making this a very eclectic and original album. ¨Should Have Known¨ April 2014 kicks off with Brian´s trademark acoustic guitar and raw, edgy vocals that might sound crazy, March 2014 but it reminded me a lot to Weird Al as he has a really unique way of singing that makes you Pop Out February 2014 wonder if he´s singing for real or not as he tends to fool around with his voice a lot. Throughout January 2014 the whole album, what makes this record so interesting is Brian Miller´s style, while Russ December 2013 November 2013 Miller´s bass lines really gives a nice touch to every song, together they create this really October 2013 awesome sound that´s hard to label, reminiscent of iconic bands and artists such as R.E.M. September 2013 and Bob Dylan. Sometimes Alternative, sometimes Folk. August 2013 July 2013 There´s honestly nothing bad to say about this record, especially once you listen to their last June 2013 EP, the band has improved a lot both musically and the vocals. While their last effort sounded May 2013 more like a demo, this one really feels like they put a lot more effort and was recorded at a April 2013 better studio which considering the music they play and Ben´s vocals, it was a good choice it March 2013 needed to be done if they were hoping to find some minimum success in this tough industry February 2013 where only a few get the chance to shine. January 2013 December 2012 Overall, this is a band that really has a potential to break through the scene, even though they November 2012 aren´t as awesome and blood pumping as other two-piece bands like The White Stripes, The October 2012 Black Keys and Royal Blood, at least they bring something new to that specific scene. So what September 2012 August 2012 I would recommend you to do is to look for this band –if you could get this new material that will July 2012 be much better-, press the play button and enjoy. Some might keep going back and wait for June 2012 more as I do, others will only spend one hours of their time listening to something cool and May 2012 moving on to something else – the band and I more people join the first group. The Nerve Interview: It Might Get Loud director Davis Guggenheim | Nerve Entertainment 10/11/09 7:59 PM PERSONALS | RSS | HELP | SITE MAP | ADVERTISE ON NERVE FEATURES ADVICE ENTERTAINMENT PHOTOGRAPHY BLOGS DATING CONFESSIONS 1 Aug 11th, 2009 With It Might Get Loud, director Davis Guggenheim wanted to tell the personal stories of three guitar legends from different generations: Jack White from the White Stripes, The Edge from U2, and Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. Guggenheim, who directed the 2007 global-warming doc An Inconvenient Truth, wanted to stay away from typical rock-documentary tactics. It Might Get Loud has no rock critics, no ex-girlfriends, and no narration. Instead Guggenheim focuses on why these three write and play the way they do and how they developed their personal styles. Guggenheim wanted the three to open up — and they did. Jimmy Page plays air guitar while listening to music that influenced him as a kid, Jack White writes an original song on camera, and The Edge talks about how he drives everyone crazy trying to get the music in his head to come out of the amps. The movie brings the three together on a soundstage to share stories, show one another their songs, and play. Nerve spoke with Guggenheim about the men behind the legends. — Emily Wilson You won an Oscar for An Inconvenient Truth. After that, why did you choose to do a movie about the electric guitar? I just make movies about people that fascinate me. The next one could be about an archeologist or I don’t know, a proctologist.

  • REMEMBER THIS SONG? a 2003 Musical Quiz Manus: Claes Nordenskiöld Producent: Claes Nordenskiöld Sändningsdatum: 19/11, 2003 Längd: 14’51
Over to You 2003/2004 Remember This Song? Programnr:31495ra5 REMEMBER THIS SONG? A 2003 Musical Quiz Manus: Claes Nordenskiöld Producent: Claes Nordenskiöld Sändningsdatum: 19/11, 2003 Längd: 14’51 Music: Eminem “Lose Yourself ” Claes Nordenskiöld: Welcome to Remember This Song? – the yearly program that gives you a chance to remember a few of the hits of the past year – A 2003 Musical Quiz. What you heard in the opening was of course Eminem in “Lose Yourself ” from the soundtrack to the movie “8 Mile”. Now, whatever kind of music you like, whether it’s hip-hop, heavy metal, rock or pop, there’ll hopefully be something for you in this program – because there’s so much good music out there. You need a piece of paper and a pencil. I’m looking for a name with 11 letters, which make up the answer. Just write the numbers 1 to 11 on the left-hand side of your paper. And as always, I will play parts of several songs. Each part is a clue to the answer. The clues may be the title of a song, the name of a group or a singer, and so on. You may not be able to answer every single question, but you’ll still have a chance to get the final answer, which I’ll give, at the end of the show. So, let’s get started with the clue for number 3. The members of Outlandish have different ethnic backgrounds – Morocco, Pakistan and Honduras. But the band really comes from Denmark. For number 3, I’m looking for the title of their first super-hit.

According to Kate Feldman from tHe New York Daily News, on Tuesday, October 4, two former band members were reunited after finding out that a video containing one of their songs was released to promote Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign.
