HOW TO DOCUMENT YOUR FINANCIAL HISTORY

GETTING A CREDIT REPORT FROM EQUIFAX, EXPERIAN AND TRANSUNION You are entitled to one free copy of your credit report every 12 months from each of the three nationwide credit reporting companies. Request Your Free Credit Report: • Online: Visit AnnualCreditReport.com • By phone: Call 1-877-322-8228. For TTY service, call 711 and refer the relay operator to 1-800-821-7232. • By mail: Complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service PO Box 105281 Atlanta, GA 30348-5281 Find Your Credit Score: Your credit report normally includes your credit score. However, if it does not, you can find your credit score by: 1. Checking your credit card or other loan statement. 2. Talking to a non-profit counselor. For a list of DOJ approved credit counseling agencies, visit: https://www.justice.gov/ust/list-credit-counseling-agencies-approved-pursuant-11- usc-111 3. Buying a score. You can buy a score directly from the credit reporting companies.

OPENING A BANK ACCOUNT: Only select banks and credit unions that do not require a Social Security or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). There are agencies that can help you with the request of an ITIN.
