Introduction

Thank you for participating in the PLAN YOUR VOTE artist initiative with VOTE.ORG. Your partnership is truly appreciated. Included in this document is everything you need to: 1) Download artworks 2) Post to social media 3) Embed the “sticky” button to your website

In order to coordinate the largest possible collective and viral voice, we’re asking our community to make their FIRST POSTING ON THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10.

As there are many great artworks to choose from, and we encourage you to post more than once. Ideally you would post different images up and until November 3, Election Day.

Please note Spanish language voting resources are currently under development at vote.org.

Social Media Posting Instructions

Download Artworks HERE Step 1: First, download to your phone the artworks you choose to post. These jpegs are formatted and should not be altered.

Step 2: Open Instagram, select the plus sign to add images, choose image(s). PLAN YOUR VOTE / POSTING INSTRUCTIONS

Step 3: Do NOT apply filters or resize the image in any way.

Step 4: Tag @PlanYourVote and @ArtistNames whose work you’re posting.

Step 5: Copy/Paste or write the following Caption.

Option #2 PLAN YOUR VOTE is a 2020 artist initiative to promote and empower citizens to exercise their right to vote. Today you should: Register if you haven’t already. Verify your registration if you have any doubt. Check your absentee status if you aren’t sure. Set a reminder in case you forget. Step 6: Select the option Post to Other Accounts to add to Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr if you have those accounts. Slide to blue and Share.

Step 7: For those using Alt Text for the visually impaired, choose Advanced Settings and then Write Alt Text. Write the following:

Step 8: Once the post has been shared, go to the posting and choose the arrow option to Share it to your stories.

Step 9: Select Edit Profile and add website to address field. www.planyourvote.org
