Ward 5 is an incredible mix of people from all over the world. It has two distinct communities on either side of a vast industrial oasis. Within those two communities there are many shared interests and distinct concerns that need to be addressed. Ward 5 North: Malton A large part of Malton has been allowed to deteriorate and property values remain lower than the rest of the City. Much of Malton has been cut off from the development and progress the rest of Mississauga has enjoyed. Why is Malton, the very last of 42 Community Health Centres announced in 2004, only now being funded?
UÊ >ÌÊii`ÃÊ>ÊV>ÊvwVi. It is a 30 minute drive from City Hall. There must be a local, staffed office so that Malton’s residents remain connected and well served by their Councillor. Parking problems, traffic at the Goreway rail crossing, substandard road and park maintenance and a desire for improved sports facilities like an outdoor stadium - residents must have a convenient location to express their concerns.

Peel Regional Police must become part of the team that makes Malton a desireable place to shop, work and live.
