Reclaimed knotty pine Our reclaimed and salvaged wood inventory is truly a treasure trove. From unique table bases to large chunks of salvaged wood, we have something for everyone. We carry an assortment of tree roots and trunks, as well as a growing inventory of salvaged beams, and rafters and joists from buildings that have been demolished. Our available knotty Pine 8/4 FAS&BTR square edge is reclaimed lumber from a building that was located in the Cincinnati, Ohio, neighborhood of Avondale — it is all southern Pine. The building was the Phillips Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, which was originally built in the 1900’s (pictured top right). The congregation decided to move to a different neighborhood leaving the city on the hook for maintaining the church. This became too expensive an endeavor to maintain, therefore the building was condemned and demolished. This particular reclaimed lumber came from the joists and rafters inside the church. This lumber is sold as-is with an outwardly rough appearance and without surfacing (pictured bottom right). However, the results after surfacing is vibrant coloring and contrast (pictured above). This selection of material is also 90-95% free of metal, nails and screws. Reclaimed knotty Pine is versatile and can be utilized in various settings, from residential to commercial applications, ranging from shelving and cabinetry to panels, flooring and more. Approximately 4,000 BDFT remain in inventory.
