The Award reaffirms the leadership of Mexico City and the commitment of UCLG to place culture as a fundamental dimension of sustainable cities.

The fourth edition of the “International Award UCLG - MEXICO CITY - Culture 21” (2019-2020) has received 81 submissions from cities and local governments from all of the world. This mobilization shows the solid interest in issues that connect cities, identity, future, culture and sustainability.
