“Avelino has continued to dominate this week as he’s done all year, and it’s exciting to see how far he’s come as a player in all aspects of the game. It’s not only his bat that continues to impress, but his defense, base running and his ability to hit for power that have all been on full display this week. He continues to refine his overall game and is starting to solidify himself as a prospect that can impact both sides of the ball as a potential five-tool player. As a young kid who signed with us at 16 years old and came up through our system, it’s exciting to see his development progress to this level.” — Hadi Raad, Yankees Director of Minor League Operations 2H REC.: 5-5 PLACE: T-4th GB: -3.5
