OVE SC OVE I L MARY’S MEANDERS ou may have noticed some tour guides in red jackets wandering the streets of our fair town in the last few Ymonths. They are the staff of Mary’s Meanders – a new business started by Emma Chalmers. We caught up with this local businesswoman to find out a little bit more... What is Mary’s Meanders? Everyone has been so kind and helpful, and we’ve had amazing feedback from local tourism officials, including the staff at Annet House and the town’s B&B owners who have told us what their visitors want. I hope we can complement each other. When people come on our tours, we can recommend places twitter | theblackbitch.co.uk | facebook | kiltr | facebook | theblackbitch.co.uk twitter for lunch, places to stay and other attractions worth visiting – encouraging them to linger longer in Lithgae! What are your hopes for Mary’s Meanders, looking into the future? I want a busy first Summer season, to develop relationships with other tour operators and build up to running tours in foreign languages. We’ll also be running ghost tours, as we’ve been told there’s a demand for this sort of thing. The sky’s the limit – but... I don’t want to run before I can walk (no pun intended!).
