'Signed' … in our opinion the signature is by the hand of the artist stated. 'Bears signature' … in our opinion there is an element of doubt over the signature or it has been added by another hand.

DROITE DE SUITE OR ARTISTS RESALE RIGHT In accordance with the Artists Resale Rights Regulations 2006, all lots marked '(d/s)' which sell for 1000 Euros or more are subject to a resale royalty charge, payable by the bidder. This royalty will be charged at a rate of 4% of the hammer price for lots selling above 1000 Euros and below 50000 Euros. For lots selling above this figure the fee is calculated on a sliding scale.
